Is The Nigerian Accent Sexy?

There is nothing sexy about an accent, in my opinion. it all depends on individuals. English, definitely is not our mother tongue so we should expect heavy and light accents depending on environs, and accent is not an index for 'sexiness'. or am i alone on this?

on a more general note

I'm not so surprised it was a lady who started this thread. Although the original question is how sexy and not how bad accents are, yet it brings to the fore one of those unnecessary debates once again. What's sexy about an accent? what's wrong in having an accent? who doesn't have an accent? and why are naija girls so interested in accents once they are janded?

The word 'accent' presupposes comparison between languages or dialects within a language, so everyone has an accent. A yoruba guy will speak hausa, igbo or english with an accent likewise any english man will definitely speak italian, igbo or yoruba with an accent.

I was so worried about accents at a point but when i discovered that whites pronounce my name with an accent and most asians have far worse english than nigerians, so i stopped worrying. We are just 2 blacks where i work, the rest are whites, asians and eastern europeans, i discovered we all speak english with an accent even the whites. I just make sure i'm understood and that's it. I'm not so keen on acquiring any accent in a hurry.

yea individuals speaking a language can sound sexy but not the accent the individual used that is sexy.

guys the truth is language depends on the person speaking it some will speak in a way you will love there accent whlie some speaks there accent and you are like ehhh what a rubbish but all in all when you here me speak my accent you will think it's the heavenly language.
