i have traversed the lenght and breadth of naija and i am quite familiar with a few languages. from my own point of view, i hold it firmly that the yoruba manner of speech is without doubt the coolest. but of course, we are talking about refined urban language use here.
men, those lagos boys dey yarn. forget story. their pidgin is without doubt an expotable international commodity. did it occur to you that naija boys in London speeak almost flawless pidgin complete with yoruba flavour? even better than some resident nigerians?
pidgin isn`t pidgin with the yoruba flavour. gba be.

the naija accent is pretty much sexy, especially when u start pickin up 'em foreign accent, it's a blend thats really enjoyabl to hear.most of my colleagues at work always go yea.,'u'v got this really posh accent,wer u from mate? , it' really sumtn to be proud of because i get these passes every other time, plus i'm ibo, but was born in the south west, wer in my honest opinion, people tend to pick up alot more proper intonation.than anywer else, north & east of nigeria, no offences meant, but i'v lived in these other areas, & the more reason why a lota people tend to have the spotlight in your direction especially when u from places in the south-west

I'm Igbo, but I gotta say the Igbo accent is TERRIBLE! Love the hausa accent, especially when the speaker is literate. Yoruba's kool, s'long as it ain't too thick. There's this one girl I know- drop dead gorgeous. When she speaks you can hear a faint "h" before the vowels. Now THAT is SEXXXXXXXXXYYYYYYY!!!!
