(Meaning roughly that the proverb is the ultimate vehicle for perfect communication)

new one i just heard today

kaka ki kiniun she akapo ekun,onikalku a se ode ni oto

loosely translated-rather than the leopard or lion (not sure) helping the tiger to keep his share of the meat,they will both do their hunting individually,
the moral being that rather than entrust your valuables to someone who isnt fully honest with you,its better you keep or take care of your interests/valuables

means to dodge the tree branch jutting out and prventing it from gouging your eye balls,you have to look at it from afar, the moral is that a stitch in time saves nine, don't let things get over your head before you sort it out
