You cannot successfully promote a bad product. You have stated that the process is slow and those who should be more concerned care less, what do you expect web developers to do? Ask their clients to wait forever for domain names when others are registering other domains in a matter of seconds or minutes?

I guess politics messed everything up as many groups just thought about the money to be made without taking time to understand what it takes to setup and maintain a reliable IT infrastructure.

We are always very fast to blame someone for every problem.
Maybe we should each develop and dedicate one website to the course.

Meanwhile , this is not a case you win in a hurry because, i ve seen thousands of dutch, german, spanish and french websites with dotcom domain which i believe belongs to the united states.
