Flash Drives Issues
« on: June 25, 2008, 05:26 PM »

Hello house,
I have intention of bringing into the country
quality and affordable flash drives from abroad.

So,this is my kind of market surveying.
I am seeking your indulgence to help
answer these questions.

1]what brand of flash drive will you recommend

2]In your own observation, what size of flash drive
do you think is moving fast in the market.Though my
research so far indicated 1gb and 2gb.

3]what is the current retail market prices for each category
of brand and sizes of flash drive you heard or known of.

4]Do you prefer a flash drive manufacture in one country
to another one.If so,please mention it.

Thanks in advance for your time.

Hi homebase,

Its a good business decision buying flash drives as this is a fast selling item in the technology market especialy for students. However, because of the nigerian situation a lot of fake flash drives imported from china, taiwan and india have flooded the market making it hard to get a good flash drive. Now here are some answers to your survey :-

1. Honestly, i don't care what brand or manufacturer you buy as long as you can GUARANTEE QUALITY AND LONG LIFE EXPECTANCY. This is the major problem facing nigerian customers. whichever brand you buy must last and not fail after 3 weeks of usage.

2. Yes, you are right. the 1gb and 2gb flash drive capacities are the ones now reigning thanks to larger capacities in the market (i use a sandisk cruzer 4GB flash drive with internal antivirus software. bought in the uk).

3. There are lots of conflicting prices in the markets for flash drives, so a little more research is needed on your part.

4. Refer to answer number 1. However, i must warn you against buying Sony flash drives. The Sony brand of flash drives has been faked and flooded in the market now that everybody instinctively runs away from any flash drive starting with sony. its just like the way dlink products now have been faked and down graded in the market

P.S Here's a little advice. Nigerians you know like to show off, so try finding a flash drive with a great design and color. I can assure people will be more willing to buy it. But remember, your flash drives must not fail or somebody will set his babalawo on you when he's important files get corrupted because the flash drive you sold him failed.
