noetic, this is not an attempt to restrict or set regulations. No we don't want regulations, we want common sense. As it is today, there is more of nonsense than there is common sense. There will be threads that appeal generally to all the aspects of romance, yours included but it wouldnt be the overwhelming caste as it is today.

when Topics that have nothing to do with romance are moved or offtopic posts get deleted , the same people who are saying get rid of this thread and that , are the same people to breathe on the moderators neck,
Some topics are about Romance but as soon as one person goes offtopic, the rest follow and the essence of the thread is gone, you'll have to through pages of "personal stuff, smileys and offtopic posts by then the topic can no longer be remembered.
Some people create the same recycled topics without bothering to search, some of these topics have been dealt with already.
If people searched before creating new topics and posters stay on topic, make use of the report to moderator button, instead of resorting to insults, i think the Romance section will be better. Its the biggest and most active part of nairaland
