I was watching STV news tonight and it was announced by the commisioner of police that Henceforth Any police caught checking vehicle particulars will be dealt with. The work of the police is to aprehend criminals and not to check vehicle particulars or stop any vehicle for verification of particulars. This is a good news for all vehicle owners in lagos who are victims of this crazy ass police officers. Its the duty of the VIO to check vehicle particulars and thats once in a month . KNOW YOUR RIGHTS CITIZENS. NO POLICE SHOULD ASK FOR ANY PAPERS FROM YOU WHEN DRIVING.

Commisioners have state jurisdiction only, is this only for Lagos?I guess if this was supposed to be nation wide it should come from any of the AIGs.
