Celebrities Should Embrace Family Values
« on: June 28, 2008, 11:18 AM »

We are seeing another Nollywood comedy. If I am not mistaken, Stephanie Okereke is divorcing her footballing husband, citing infidelity. What is wrong with these celebrities? Don't they know anything about family values?

What comes to mind is that these people marry for the prestige, not love. They marry to the person who will advance their careers. As soon as they are married they revert to their lifestyles. The women are just trophies to be shown around, as are the husbands.

This is a bad example. The celebrities can still lead a good life within families, as happily married couples. All they need to do is follow their hearts, not their egos.

Maybe Gennevieve is right when she shuns marriage. After all, why get married if you will end up getting divorced?
