What we have is Mugabe insisting that Morgan concede he won the last election fair and square before any dialogue.

In short, what he's asking is that the main oposition legitimize his regime and rule for the next 4 years, thereby ending any opposition once and for all in zimbabwe. He himself is under no compulsion to concede anything to Tsvangirai. So it could be a very terrible mistake to go down this route.

yes i agree, but you must understand that when two parties are sabre rattling each one tries to outdo the other's ego untill they come to the negotiating table when they will face realities, mugabe will try n make out as if he doesnt need tsvangirai and only doing him a favour by dialogue, likewise tsvangirai, its all politics, same happened in kenya even nigeria
i believe tsvangirai should dialogue with him because that will even make the african union sway to his side if mugabe now reneges, also in view of the state of the country and the killings, power sharing is the fastest way to avoid more bloodshed and stability, the economic sanctions will be lifted and the country and its economy will be on the road to recovery, theres always another chance for tsvangirai in less than 4 years time when he will have proved himself independent of western influence, and strenghtened himself more politically both within and outside zimbabwe(african leaders)

I doubt if Tsvangirai will ever become the president of Zimbabwe under any circumstance unless he is imposed by the West probably after invading Zimbabwe just like they did in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Mugabe has successfully ( and rightly so too) portrayed Tsvangirai as a candidate representing the interests of the West as against the people of Zimbabwe and there will always be Zimbabweans that will never allow a Western stooge to rule over them.
