A. REGISTRATION FOR THE SCREENING
REGISTRATION FOR 2008/2009 SCREENING EXERCISE
UME Candidates who applied to Federal University of Technology, Minna for admission for the 2008/2009 session. Below are detailed instructions on the registration process.
The present registration exercise is restricted to Remedial candidates of FUT Minna and UME candidates whose 1st choice is Federal University of Technology, Minna.
ONLY candidates who scored 170 and above in JAMB are eligible to write the examination.
The Registration of 2nd choice UME and Direct Entry candidates shall follow later.
Note:2nd choice UME and Direct Entry candidates should starting checking on our website from 21st July, 2008 for their registration.
Candidates should enter their JAMB or Remedial Registration number and click “submit” on the menu. A page containing relevant information on them will be displayed.
This page should be printed out and must be presented with passport photograph attached to it during the screening exercise.
Candidates must obtain a bank draft for the sum of Two Thousand Naira only (=N=2,000.00) "PAYABLE TO F.U.T MINNA" from any of the 24 approved commercial banks being a non refundable administrative charge. The bank draft is to be presented at the examination venue.
Note: You don't need any account number for bank draft. Just obtain the bank draft from any of 24 approved commercial banks anywhere in Nigeria and address it to "PAYABLE TO F.U.T MINNA".
JAMB candidates must present their UME result slip during the screening. Remedial candidates should present their FUT ID cards.
This first-tier screening exercise is scheduled to hold on Saturday 19th July 2008.
Candidates should arrive at their venues by 8.00a.m.
Candidates applying for the following courses should report at Main Campus Gidan Kwano: Agricultural Economics, Animal Production, Food Science and Nutrition, Crop production, Water Resources, Aquaculture and Fisheries Technology, Soil Science, Architecture, Building, Estate Management, Quantity Surveying, Surveying and Geoinformatics, Urban and Regional Planning. Others include Biological Science, Biochemistry, Geography, Geology, Industrial and Technology Education, Library and Information Technology, Mathematics and Computer Science, Microbiology, Physics, Science Education.
Candidates applying for the following courses should report at Bosso Campus: Agricultural Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical/Computer Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering.
Candidates should note that access to our website for registration, access to screening results and confirmation of admission status is free.
Candidates are strongly advised to register on time as the website will be closed for registration from midnight of Thursday 17th July 2008.

B. ON THE SCREEENING DAY
During the screening exercise, candidates must fill the various sections of the OMR form (answer sheet) CORRECTLY.The OMR form has sections and is numbered from 1 to 8 as indicated below:
Registration Number.
First write your registration number in the 10 boxes. Proceed to shade the appropriate figure or letter under each box. For Remedial Candidates, ALL Registration numbers start with 2007, followed by remedial number (4 figures) and end with code RM e.g. 20074567RM
1)Option. (Question paper type)
Your course of choice falls under FOUR Options: A, B, C, D. (see below). Your question booklet will carry the option indicated on your screening registration print-out. Shade the letter that corresponds to your course on the OMR form.
2) Sex
For Male candidates, shade Male; For Female candidates shade Female
3) Mode of Entry
JAMB candidates should shade UME.
Remedial candidates should shade REM.
4) Name: Surname first, then other name(s). Leave Spaces between names.
Candidates must first write their names on the spaces provided. Proceed to shade the appropriate letter under each box, surname (family name) first, leave a space, then shade the other names as exemplified below: UMARU BOLAJI OBI

5) 1st Choice Course Code
Each course offered in the University has a THREE letter code. (see below).
Candidates must first write their chosen 1st choice course code on the spaces provided. Proceed to shade the appropriate letter under each box.
6) ANSWER SECTION
There will be a total of 100 questions. Each question has FIVE options (A, B, C, D, E). Shade the letter that corresponds to your answer.
