@Poster
Now you've told us the truth. It was your first time at the cinemas and you didn't understand how the technology worked. and neither did your friend.  People crossing the beam of the projector behind you will have their shadows cast on the screen. That's how those heads appear in the alaba dvds you're obviously more used to. If someone had been taping that movie, he would have captured those heads you saw and when it appears on the street, voila, pirated movie.

It is completely impossible for a cinema of Silverbird's status to show a pirated movie. They have premiered movies on the same day with Hollywood's premiere of the same movies so the talk of 'torrent' and 'dvd ripped' movies just should not arise.

Even when we Nigerians catch someone with his hand in the soup; we will still come up with all manner of excuses. There is no impossibility in our country, sooner than later more people will tell their story.

Rugina hi,
U have just blasphemed!!!. Silverbird cinemas get her movie print directly from the movie studios abroad. Let me emphasize that we do not play DVD nor VCD but rather we play 35 mm celluloid print which suites the HIGHLIGHT (7.5 KW) Projector.  However the purportedly sighted shadow is a reflection of a customer who walked past the beam of the projection lamp.
For your information Hancock was released worldwide on the same day it was premiered and silverbird was the sole distributor of the movie to all existing cinemas in Nigeria. This goes a long way to confirm our credibility and unique / uncompromisably splendid performance in the entertainment industry.
On the final note we wish to reassure u and our much admired fans and customers out there that silverbird is poised to delivering unique services.

For further enquires u can contact us through this emails . oluwaseun@silverbirdgroup.com and niyifash@silverbirdgroup.com.

SILVERBIRD CINEMAS, EXPERIENCE THE DIFFERENCE.

Seun,
I think you should take down this thread and threads like this that are meant to tarnish the image of reputable businesses in Nigeria. Silverbird would never ever ever show a pirated copy of the film. As a matter of fact, they cannot show a pirated copy because they don't play a CD or DVD. The person who started this must be reckless and have an ulterior motive. I saw one the other day on "Your BankPHB Experience", all kinds of claims were made. It would be better such a thread said something like " Your Experience with Banks" that way, no organisation feels like they are being slandered.

See the origianal poster's grammar? Horrible! Horrible! You will know that she is one of those OFF's (Okoro Feeling Funky) who made a trip to the cinema for the first time and was shocked to see that the shadows of the audience sometimes reflect on the screen.
Very unbelieveable bullshit!
Seuneniola, thanks for clearing it up jare.

Can't wait for Silverbird to finish their Cinema here in Abuja! The "Other" Cinema here in Abuja too dey slack. They show 2 months old movies. Pitiful. By the time they eventually show Iron Man, EVERYONE would have watched the DvdRIP (not the cinema dubb).

People,
I let's use common sense here.

RUGINA !!. Could you kindly tell us the following:

1. Name of movie ?
2. Day/Date you saw the movie ?
3. Why in the world didn't you make a complaint in the mid or right after the movie ? ( This the only way to make the Change in Nigeria)

I will take it from here.
