The University of Port Harcourt hereby invites candidates who chose the University as their 1st and or 2nd choice in the 2008 Universities Matriculation Examination (UME) with a score of 200 and above for Dentistry, Engineering, Management Sciences, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy and Social Sciences; 180 and above for Science;  170 and above for other programmes to a screening exercise scheduled as follows:

 

Monday July 28, 2008   - Faculty of Social Sciences
Tuesday July 29, 2008   -  Humanities, Education, Dentistry and Nursing
Wednesday July 30, 2008  - Medicine, Anatomy and Physiology
Thursday July 31, 2008   - Science, Agriculture and Pharmacy
Friday August 01, 2008   - Management Sciences
Saturday August 02, 2008  - Engineering

The important dates with regards to the screening exercise are as follows:
Pre-Registration: 3rd - 17th July, 2008
Input of Personal and Jamb Details on Online Application Form
Printing of Payment Slip
Payment at any of the Banks listed
Registration: 18th - 25th July, 2008
Completion of Application Form with 0'Level and other UME details
Upload recent (maximum six months) passport and print photocard
Screening Exercise: 28th July - 2nd August, 2008

Materials needed for the Post UME screening exercise
Candidates are required to come with the following:

A clear copy of Photo-card printed online
HB pencil, eraser and non-programmable calculators
NOTE:

Candidates’ name on their O’level certificates and JAMB results must be consistent with what is filled on the Post UME form.
Mobile phones, Walkman, Ipod and similar gadgets are not allowed into the Screening venue.
Candidates are strongly advised to identify their Screening venue prior to the date of their screening exercise as lateness to venues will be unacceptable.
Candidates must apply within the Pre-registration period as the Application form will be disabled at mid-night on 17th July, 2008.
Candidates must report to the Screening Venue by 8.00am prompt.
