I just saw in the wed, 9th july 2008 edition of the punch newspapers that JAMB on tuesday, 'had reached an agreement with the various universities to fix 170 points as the cut-off mark for entry into universities from the Universities Matriculation Examinations.' The reason was 'based on the performance of candidates during the examinations, which was slightly better than that of 2007'. Wel, i'D say congrats to u all, and prepare hard for the post- UME.

The fact remains even with such declaration from JAMB,most schools with not admit candidates who don't score 200 and above, the same thing happened last year, when the cut-off point was fixed at 160 by JAMB,yet schools didn't adhere to that.

But to be qualified for the post Ume is the first step. If the Schools were forced to cut below 200, more money for them. Will that make 5,000-intake capacity School take 8,000 new students? I know Uniben, Lasu, Unilag, Ui, UNN won't go below 200!JAMB aint going to run any University. People know where(FUT Mx,FUT Yola, Unijos, Unimaid, ATBU etc in the North though) to take their low scores to. Bye bye!

Yeah I know. But more on researches and less dependent on importation. Colleges should be turning out guys that can manufacture. Enough of these chinese products and services. Hey, I think we need Chinese guys on Energy. NEPA is dead like dodo.
