Lately, the cynic in me has taken over. I don't know how or when but little miss cheerleader isn't indestructible anymore. Forever eluding me this dream - falling apart like a poorly constructed spiderweb. You start to ask yourself if there is something intrinsically wrong with you that nothing ever works. It's like everyone else is well on their way, they are spreading their wings, comet tails blinking faster than light waves. And you. Submerged it seems; floating forever while tettered to the land till little by little your smiles start to feel like lies, you start to die inside. Your religion can't save you, your music can't free you, your air can't lift you, your solace can't shield you, your truth will not absolve you, no caress will calm you. I want to dip my head below the water and like a can immersed fill up and up and up till the light winks out. Just end. End. The fullstop. There is no quick pill to take that will catapult me from the now to the dream future. Toujours avec toujours dans mes reves. But I'm trying not feel despondent, not to commit the ultimate sin called complete despair because despair is a mistress, a pervasive dominatrix.
