Interswitch, Uba, The New Face Of Corporate Theft?
« on: July 13, 2008, 01:17 AM »

This thread is dedicated to the staff of uba nigeria, who happen to be the most inefficent persons i've had the misfortune of dealing with, ALSO  to the staff and management of interswitch nigeria, for providing such excellent debit card services and skillfully ignoring nigerians who have been robbed by their system.
for the second time in less than two years, UBA and their pals atĀ  interswitch have refused me access to my funds, and to call a spade a spade, robbed me. the first time it happened i changed my pin to my birthdate. on subsequent transactions, it claimed i made a mistake with the password. fine. went to the bank and they gave me their standard reply"there's nothing we can do about it" now the money i paid into my new xchange card has been credited to the account(according to this here piece of paper labeled "Quickteller") yet at the ATM machine, it says 82.00 naira. i paid in the money on the 30th of june and till now the thirteenth of july i'm yet to recieveĀ  my money, or even a reply from interswitch who i've sent a million mails to, not to talk of an apology. The real problem with nigeria is that nobody talks about things like this and we let coporate bodies get away with murder. on the thirtieth of this month july, i will make this public through at least 5 dailies at my own expense. HAVE ANY SIMILAR HORROR STORIES? THEN REPLY THIS POST AND JOIN THIS FIGHT FOR THE RIGHTS OF THE NIGERIAN PEOPLE. 07035111650 aaron m.

Thank you for taking the initiative to post your issues. I have had the same experience with Ecobank that had a series of "ATM Reversals" on my account to the tune of NGN74,000.00. When I asked what the heck the debits were, I was told that they were transactions that were posted after 3 months. This is a damn lie, and I have met and requested many times for them to show me any kind of proof to no avail. These Banks steal from people. I have notified some friends in the Senate and the House for a probe, and they have asked me to officially submit my complaint. It will be nice if we can all get together and present these issues to our legislators. It is more widespread than you can imagine, and when you make transactions that do not complete, your account still gets debited. In 26 years of using ATMs in America, I never once had this problem, and if I did, it was corrected immediately upon notifying my Bank.

Ecobank took over 7 months of their so-called investigation to come back and tell me the same thing without any documentation to prove. Meanwhile, I have not talked to Interswitch, which reflected my account correctly until Ecobank stole my money with "Transaction reversals". Anybody with a little sense will realize that a "transaction reversal means a credit to your account, and not a debit. I believe that some previous transactions that I had queried made interswitch credit my account, which ecoBank then stole. This means I was debited twice for bad transactions.

i have that same exprience with uba when i ask for an alert banking for my account and after sending me notification message of activating the service, they start reducting money from the account.after two months of no transaction in that account i find out that they remove #600 from my money.i have to go and ask they said that after activation that even without transaction they have a fixed amount they must remove for that alert and still alert you on the deduction.to cot the story short i simply abandon my two account with them and go for the best since they are not the only bank,to be frank if uba is our only bank in nigeria.WE HAVE NO BANK

very sad to read these simply 'program error' they are using to cheat people.

Basic program: transaction must succeed at once or fail all once: all or nothing'

Transaction should only commit if no errors,  God save you in Nigeria if NEPA take light when using the ATM.

why can't they get experience programmers?
