( Celtel) Has Been Sold To Another Company !
« on: July 15, 2008, 04:45 AM »

Ya thats was on sunday,  a friend in the church who works at CELTEL telecommunication was gisting me on how to pray for his job,  and i asked why ?? he told me CELTEL has been sold to an ARAB Company,  he told that was the reason why last week all the subscribers on celtel,  could not make calls or receive and even re-charge,  he said by that time,  CELtel shutdown all service,  trying to hand-over to the new company,  the new arab company by the close source said,  they own 75% share of Celtel,

Can u imagine ?? another name again we go here ooo change today and change tomorrow, he said the issue came from ECONET NIGERIA, because there was no solid agreement at the unset.

Change in Structure has always affected the modus operandi of this network.

Have you guys heard the reason celtel gave for their recent service disruption?

Celtel Nigeria, has tendered an unreserved apology to its teeming subscribers for service disruptions last Saturday, attributing the incident to fire outbreak.

Just as the National Association of Telecom Subscribers (NATCOMS) has decried the conditional payment of compensation to subscribers on Celtel network, even as it urged the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) to mandate Glo Mobile to also pay compensation to its subscribers.

Head of Corporate Communications, Celtel, Mr. Emeka Oparah, in a press statement made available to Daily Champion, said the fire incident affected Celtel cables at Ijora, a suburb in Lagos.

National President, NATCOMS, Chief Deolu Ogunbanjo, in a press statement said though, Celtel started the compensation late, yet it made it conditional, meaning that subscribers on the network cannot use the said credit to call other networks.

"They credited the compensation as a bonus, which means that you can use the N175 credit compensation only on their network. That is, you can only use it to call Celtel to Celtel,"
he decried.

Further, he said that subscribers were being restricted to Celtel network with the credit, which means that Celtel is denying subscribers the right to choose, the right to use, the right of freedom and giving subscribers conditional credit compensation.

My Samsung R220 is still registering Econet and they want to change now to Zain. Any way, that is their nature - Unserious business people.
