Confusion Over Yar'dua's Bithday!: The Man Should Resign
« on: July 15, 2008, 05:36 AM »

I wasnt surprised when I saw the news, but I was very amazed that the man instead of correcting the alleged erroneous publication decided to keep quite in his usual "sidon look" attitude.
If there's confusion over is date of birth and he choses to ignore, I wonder how he can steer the country out of our current drawbacks. Mr President is simply ineffective.

The earlier, Yar'Aduan correct this confusion, the better. This might look like a minor issue but, it is not. There will be anything to surprise one in Nigeria everyday. I hope what I'm thinking is not correct Lips sealed

fact remains that he's 57, but his silence is so annoying! Correct simple mistakes or misunderstanding. It just shows how he runs the country. The man lacks initiative and direction, over 12months and he hasnt done anything except reverse Obasanjo's policies to score some cheap political points.

Is  this important enough for the president to call a press conference? Abeg let's  face important issues

Instead i think we should critisize the so called rulers we have in Nigeria, wasting tax payers money. It shows  their level of detail, going to the press without  confirming their facts. Who blames them, is it their money they are spending?

He won't tell us when his birthday is? Egad!

Does he not understand the repercussions of his thoughtless act? How else will people steal money under the guise of throwing a surprise party for El Presidente? The inhumanity!

No! No! No! This should not be tolerated. The Man must resign ASAP!!

Do we have a commitee for this? Where can I sign up?

Do you think he knows his birthday? A lot of Nigerian don't. Maybe his culture does not care too much for birthday celebrations.

abeg this issue is not important, so he should call a press conference to clarify his birthday? why didnt d people that eventually found out his correct date of birth take it upon demselves to clarify d exact date before wasting money putting up paid congratulatory adverts?

sycophants all struggling to make d first good impression, d man will be laughing himself to sleep looking at d number of adverts dese morons put up,

abeg dere are more important tins to discuss and i generally like d way d man kept quiet n let them fumble on demselves

And reporters from far and near listen attentively, pen poised waiting for the right words for their next headline, each hoping his will be more attention grabbing than the others!

In the right hands, the words PRESIDENT'S BIRTHDAY CONFIRMED can be so profound and life changing.

isnt it funny that we don't know the bday of our own president? so my dear poster the best  solution to this crisis is for the innocent man to humbly resign ehn? i'D rather advise that he finds a wy to punish all those political appointee close to him who don't know the actual date of his birth.

Most people are getting this thing mixed up! Nothing, i mean nothing should have stopped them from retracting or apologising in order to set the records straight. If he doesnt like celebrating his birthday that aint any business of mine, knowing the date wont transform Nigeria overnight, but it just shows the kind of president we have, very slow and unresponsive.

who is 'them'? he didn't put out any advert for himself did he?
unresponsive to what exactly? You think he is checking the newspaper for his celebrity ratings?
you should be telling those sycophants to resign for spending state money for advert
come o how come the newspapers editors themselves didn't even tell their customers to hold on?

@Sisikill, deor03

If your president is keeping his birthday from you, how would you be so sure that he's not keeping other things from you? That simply means that the man is not trustworthy. Imagine somebody asking you when your president is born and you can not answer. From my point of view it means a lot not just because we want to celebrate his birthday. We know more about you through your characters. One of the characters of our president is that he doen't talk and if he doen't talk how can he attend to national emergencies.

yes he must be keeping so much frm nigerians like d fact that he is a twin or the he is hiding his age to conceal d fact that he is older dan obj/ibb put together or that he has multiple personality issues,

come on!!!!!!COME ON!!!! people wake up and smell d roses, this issue is irrelevant to national development so why for Gods sake is it garnering so much dust? abeg let d man be , he has more important things to think about

It seems your problem with this is that a broadcast to clarify this is a trivial issue.

If the adverts were about his 'death', won't he respond? Tongue

Remember what the clerk of the senate is going through

For many africans born before the 1960's  there is no clear date on the Birth certificate. Sometimes you read
"born in 1937 " or "born in the 1920s".
If this has to be an issue, most of all african presidents should go. Grin
