MTN/Glo GPRS Configuration for Windows Smartphones?

Smartphone configuration for MTN GPRS

I have a smartphone 2 running on Windows smartphone OS, I have tried all available setting from Nairaland, and none seen to work, I guess the settings are for mobile phones not Smartphones, Can I get your assistance?  Also the settings for smartphone with Glo WAP services?

1. On the Home screen, press Programs
2. Select More> Settings>Data Connections
3. In Data Connections, press Menu, select Edit Connections, then GPRS Connections
4. In GPRS Connections, press Menu>Add and enter the following information:

Description : Glo
In the field Connects to : select WAP Network
Access point : glogwap
User name : wap
Password : wap
Primary DNS : <leave blank>
Secondary DNS : <leave blank>
IP address : <leave blank>
5. Press the Done key two times to return to Connections
6. In Connections, select Proxy Connections
7. In Proxy Connections, press Menu>Add and enter the following information:

Description : Glo
In the field Connects from : select WAP Network
In the field Connects to : select The Internet
Proxy (name:port) : 10.100.98.22:9201
In the field Type : select WAP
User name : <leave blank>
Password : <leave blank>

8. Press the Done key three times to return to Data Connections
9. In the field Internet connection , choose the name of the new profile MTN GPRS
10. In the field WAP connection , choose the name of the new profile MTN GPRS
11. Press Done two times
12. Press the back key, select Internet Explorer
13. In Internet Explorer, press Menu>Options, select Connections
14. In the field Select Network, select The Internet
15. Press Done two times

The WAP and Internet profile is activated

Thx Snook, it looks as if there is a light at the end of the turnnel , But it is confusing to see that your setting has Glo and MTN on them. Can you look at the setings again and diffrenciate the two networks.Thx so far.

Can I equally use this methord of configuring MTN/GLO for my Nokia 6680 series. Whats the defrence between Smart Phones and Mobile Phones?
