Got A New Man, Got A New Everything

I have been a member of Nairaland for some time, you have shared in my Joys, Pains and Troubles. You have laughed with me, cried with me and Given me invaluable advice. I have made great friends here that will last me a lifetime.

Before i tell you guys the juicy gist, I want to say, God always has a much bigger plan for us than we can ever dream of. Beginning of this year, I could not go to Church because my Sister was Pregnant almost due and I was alone with her. I stayed at home and prayed, God told me that this year would be my best. I thanked him and i started the year, but when the year started i stared doubtijng that it was really the voice of God i heard. First, I went for my routine Pap Smear and found that i had pre- cancerious Cervical Cancer cells which are the Human Papiloma Virus had began to move to the pre-cancerous levels, i could not tell my family because we had lost two people to cancer and they will be scared and since i had so much info on Cervical Cancer and i knew it could be reversed, I started treatment without telling anyone. My Boyfriend was misbehaving so i broke up with him, The break up hurt so much but not as muich as the pain of the treament, I was losing wieght and people around me thought it was because of the break up.

Next, I was due for a promotion in my office, i was denied because my Boss would ask me to forge documents and based on my principles i would refuse to. By Feb, my office advertized for some positions, I applied and was called for interview in May, i came first in the interview was congratulated and i was waiting for my letter but my former Boss again went and did some things and i was denied the position, When i confronted the DG about the delay in my letter he told mne that the woman had sent a nasty letter about me to the Borad of Trustees. Anyway, i wrote my resignation letter effective one months notice.  I had no Prspects or opportunities but me and my sister prayed and God said it will be well.

A week to my departure I hosted a meeting for some of our Volunteers and at the end of the meeting i was supposed to take them to dinner, i decided to take them to Dinner and a movie. When i went to get the movie tickets, I met the most wonderful man in the world. It seems God decided to compensate me for all my pain, heartbreak and hell i went through. I am a very open person, anytime i date i open my whole heart and emotions and i get hurt really bad, i never stop trying or stop loving. Anyway, when i met him, my life was almost in pieces, nobody knew because i always put up a happy face, but he saw right through me and told me am pretending to be happy but am in pain. He asked me to go on a weekend vacation with him and we went and talked, i laughed genuinely for the first time in months. When i came back to work, on my last day in my former office, i received a mail that i got a grant for a project i had written, so i registered and started my own organization.

Its been hard and tough but God has given me strength, support and Love, we have successfully done two of our project activities and God has given me favor every where, I cannot even begin to Thank God and you all for you advice and support.

No matter how dark the night is, God has shown me that Morning will come. Don't be afraid of hard times, like in my case I can tell you that Gods strength is made perfect in our time of weakness.  Thank you all so much
