Look, if Ijaws and Yorubas clash in Lagos, of course Yorubas are going to win. I do not think that any Yoruba settlers in PH would dare clash with Ijaws . . . they will be begging for peace as usual. . . . that is the difference between braveheart and weakheart.

In PH, we had Ateke running shit for Odili, then Dokubo clashed him, then Soboma George clashed him . . . even in Delta and Edo area, we are always fighting Itsekiri. . . infact, we even fight ourselves when there is no fight because Kalabari had a deadly clash with Nembe in the 90's . . . Okrika clashed with Ogoni, Eleme and Ikwerre within the space of one fiscal year and Andoni and Opobo also clashed. . . o-boy, war is in our blood heading back to Jaja of Opobo days - you can ask the Colonialists about the report they wrote on us, where they said we are the people in Africa with the most agidi . . . don't mess with us o!

One man's freedom fighter is another man's terrorist. Ojukwu is not your messiah and I agreed, but he is for us. If you know what that title of "Ikemba" given to him by his people means, you will eat your words. Ojukwu is no Abacha, he didn't steal from us, rather he gave us his inheritance and sacrificed 13 years of his life in exile for us. So stop crying more than the beareved.

I have told you that when it comes to politics that Emeka Ojukwu is not the most skillful and I have also told you he made so many mistakes but we as his brothers and sisters understood the reasons and that is why the more you seek for his humiliation from us, the more we laugh at you because it will never happen.

Ojukwu is one of the few, if any of Nigeria leaders today that will beat his chest and say I am not corrupt or has he ever embezzled a penny belonging to anybody, if that is not what a leader is made of, then tell me what?s
And those that kept saying he ran away are doing so out of frustration of not been able to catch him and humilate him, just like they did to Saro Wiwa. That is what all the silly jibe of running away is about.

Govan Mbeki, all top ANC leaders ran away too for many years to Zambia and many other places when Mandela was locked up, helping keep the spirit of their people alive while their leader was in prison.  Those men are near to sainthood today in South African's history. And their people are not saying that they ran away while the white idiots were killing them.
And one of them, Govan Mbeki, today has his son as the president of South Africa. A living Ikemba is far better than a dead one. No dead person can be called an "Ikemba".

Someone has asked me if I was there? Yes I was there in the thick of it and I was only 18. We returned to find out that 17 members of our immediate family were murdered during a 24 hours air raid around Orlu and Owerri, including my grand parents killed at a packed crowded "Eke" market.
So my idea of the war was different from yours because it's either you were unborn then or relied solely on radio Nigeria broadcasting from Ikoyi.

you are just being shortsighted. The Yoruba may appear to be educated because of their number compared to the Ijaws. However, I want to tell you that most Yorubas cant even speak English. i went to Ikire in Osun state and found it hard speaking with most people because they couldn't understand a word of English even the bus loaders. it was very frustrating to me becuase that was last year. I thought I was in another Nothern part of Nigeria. I have been to differetn parts of Yoruba land and same applies. I even met a girl in Ojuelegba selling pure water and she could not even understand English when I asked her what the time is. She just mumbled some Yoruba. It  was a man standing by that helped me out. She could not even speak pidgin.


On the contrary if you go to bayelsa, river and delta states even if they do not spoeak good English they can speak pidgin whihc helps you to get by.

I think you have ro reevaluate this Yoruba high level of litearacy and stop decieving yourselves.

I totally agree with you if being educated is same as speaking good/pidgin English, then all chinese must be stark illiterates.

Anywhere Yoruba people are, you will see me there finding trouble 

Don't mind me . . . most of my Nigerian friends are Yoruba. . . they are everywhere in this London . . . but I can't help teasing them.



It is because they don't like to speak English at home, only Yoruba. . . even in London here, do you know how many Yoruba cleaners I have met that cannot speak English . . . .EVEN IN LONDON. . . . haba. . . . infact, we have to re-evaluate this their reputation as being highly learned sef   . . . unless there are Nigerian universities out there that are teaching Science, Mathematics and Law degrees in Yoruba language . . . . one thing you have to respect them sha, them dey travel well well so they know what is happening abroad.

If you are intelligent but cannot communicate then it is useless. Can you go and work as a secretary in a french speaking country if you dont speak french despite the fact that you are a trained or intelligent secretary? language is a vehicle to express your intelligence. A lot of of our Nigerian folks are intelligent even the fulanis but we do not percieve they are because they cannot communicate in the langauge we understand. So their intelligence rots with them. All the tribes in Nigeria have intelligent people but they must be able to communicate it to others.
