I agree with candylips, learning for yourself is the easiest way. I will advice you to pick a programming language, think of a problem you want to solve, and implement what you are learning to solving that problem. That is the easiest way to learn programming.

You need to define why you need to program. if u dont, u'll spend too mjuch time comparing languages,joining the java vs c# war,notepad vs ides etc, jargons right? people may find it unncecessary, but i advise u start with C. most languagees are built on C. when u are comfortable with C,u then decide if u want to be an app. guru or a system programmer, for the latter,upgrade to c++ for the forrmer,java,c# and vb will be fine. above all, u dont need to be a genius to be a guru, in programming,interest and hard practice rule. if your choice falls in either c++ or java,call or mail me. willing to help, am an opensource guy. 08028838810 ife@linuxmail.org
