@all
MTN thinks they are fooling us by telling us that via sms due to network upgrade, you may experience outage in international calls, roaming, blackberry, data services. Meanwhile the outage was due to the Sat-3 issue. Other operators sent sms linking the poor service to Sat-3, just do *556# on your phone now and see MTN deceit message. The speed is now increasing becos they are now routing data traffic through part of the Sat-3, from the response time you know that. Its less than 550ms. Carry go wt your download abeg .

I'm in Ibadan now and I'm still getting gprs speeds. It's pretty annoying. Gone are the days where I kill 1gb per day.

i know mtn has had some issues however i have rocked mad speeds with them. One problem for peeps could be the selection of network - change from '3G preferred to 3G only' ,  Good luck!

lynxnoon - how did u connect urs with unix/linux - i use ubuntu next to my windows - and i cant link up my mtn fastlink!!
