@4llabe, on your phone, goto settings,=>Network=> the change your network mode To Umts from Dual Mode. . It also depends on your area, if there is 3g signal there. .

For me i am not using thier fastlink modem but i use my nokia phone as the modem and it is performing the same function,download as the fastlink modem is doing.dont waste your time looking for thier fastlink modem just visit mtn website u will see it there that not only thier fast link modem work for the browsing but i subscribe to 10000 naira monthly 24hrs plan.

man u guys are really enjoying mtn.down here in umuahia,what we got is 2.5 but i think its even 2.G.imagine the download speed is 5kps sometimes even less.damn ,we really need 3.5G

MTN 3G in my area is very stubborn it wouldnt come unless i use a software to change my phone to UMTS only.

For me i use my nokia 5200 as modem for mtn 3g services it perform the same function as the usb modem,so dont bother your self looking for usb modem for 18k just get a second hand nokia phone that you know is gprs/edge enabled get the usb cable with your nokia pc suite and dial from your fone phone to migrate to any data bundle you which to operate, its kinda fast and better than cdms, good luck

Peeps abeg help me o Embarrassed Just got Blackberry Curve from MTN and i paid 5k subscription for BIS. Even after they activated (GPRS) it they charge me when there is credit and now that there's no credit its telling me error, The speed is terrible and i cnt even use it as a modem to use on my laptop.Before i subscribed i could use it as a modem but mtn zaps my credit immediately.I havent used up to 5hour and im regretting already. Please is there amy thing y'all can do for me?
