i was offer a banking job and civil service job at the same time, my fiancee advice me to go for banking but i like government work what do you think i should do.

Y would you settle for a civil service job when you can work in a bank that pays well.Bro listen to your fiance and get good money before the time goes by or don't you know what civil servants earn compared to bankers?

Haba my people, why classify him/her as mumu. Lets consider job satisfaction then pay. I think he/she is satisfied with being a civil servant and that will make him/her a happy person in the future. I will advice u listen to your heart and follow it because the money does not always count. Being fulfilled and happy matters the most. If u want money, then u can go for the banking job.

@poster, i strongly believe that civil service job is far better than banking job, u might be receiving between 90-150k as a starter bt the other is still better on the long run. no body really bosses u around, u re not given target, u don't close very late, u hav time for your self and u re sure that it ll not bankrupt. forget about the so called consolidation.
The bottom line is; still follow your heart, your job satisfaction is better than fat pay.
