Ingredients: Traditional Mix:
50g atariko 50g uda 50g gbafilo 50g dried ginger 50g rigije 50g uyayak 30g tamarind seeds
Substitute Mix
60g aniseed 30g black pepper 25g cloves 25g ground cinnamon 50g coriander seeds 50g cumin seeds 50g allspice 50g dried ginger 50g tamarind seeds 50g fennel seeds
Method:
Simply combine all the ingredients together and grind to a fine powder in a clean coffee grinder. Store in an air-tight jar and keep in your spice cupboard (it will last several months).

I don't know the English name for it or if it dos have an English name at all but Rigije are small brown flat seeds sold by Niger-Delta market women

@ flowers, The market women that sells peppersoup stuffs knows all those names, just copy the list and take it to the market. Better still, you'll get the already grinded ingredients in the mkt. They do store them in salad-cream bottles. But i think it's better you buy and grind by urself so as to be sure of the contents and its freshness.
