all u guys that need MTN hack should follow this steps. it only works if you use opera web browser on pc, and make sure u dont have credit on your phone because i'm not liable if MTN sucks your credit.
create 2 MTN settings on your phone and delete the APN of both settings by leaving them as blank. input IP address 10.199.212.2 & proxy 8080 in opera web browser. connect your phone to pc with the 1st settings & go to wap.sonyericsson.com via opera

once sony site opens on pc, access wap.mtnonline via the 2nd setting on your phone's wap browser. switch to opera on pc and start browsing other sites free.

pls, can any body help. i have tried my best in trying to set my phone to browse. the only page i access is that of mtn. i guess the gprs is not working it is on the wap that is working. pls who can help me with the gprs settings. pls drogba kindly help me out. my email is emmertof@yahoo.com Pls i will appreciate anybodies assistance. |

you can only access MTN site because you dont have enough credit on your phone. load credit and try it, i'm sure it will work.

drogba u are good. thanks. what u have siad is true, i do browse mtn & sonyericson site, but i just want other sites. although, i do get access to other sites when i load credit, the tariff is high. i browse mtn & sony for free. pls iam begging is ther no other way out for me. i dont mind calling u if i have your number. or can u give me your mail . pls i am begging. i promise i will keep my mouth shut if u assist.

it seems you guys dont really understand how the trick works. i use it to access other sites for free. you have to create 2 settings to fool MTN server because it can't bill 2 accounts simultaneously.

wap.sonyericsson.com works on any MTN lin 4 free except for downloads.
@drogba: How d'u use 2 different accounts simultaneously? D'u have to connect your phone to a PC?

You can connect your phone to a PC with one setting and connect via your phone wap browser with the other setting. You have to delete the MTN APN (web.gprs.mtnnigeria.net) and leave it blank for both settings.

these operators are pretty smart and always block any loophole that subscribers find in order to . i remembr the first trick i found was to leave the APN blank. i let some guys in on this trick and it was blocked by MTN 3 months later. the second trick which is quite tricky and requires a pc with opera has also been blocked. once word gets out and a bulk of people know a trick, its gonna get blocked by MTN

i already said that the APN is to be left blanc or empty. the trick no longer works now because it has been blocked.
