The Archbishop of Lagos, Anthony Cardinal Okogie, said what has been on the minds of the majority of Nigerian for decades now. He said what the ruling class has and continue to do everything in their power to keep from getting out. He said, Nigerians are disappointed in Nigeria, and he is very right. The country is a complete failure. Everyone is busy pre-occupied trying to find the best way to leave the country with no intentions of ever coming back.
Nigeria is synonymous with corruption and crime anywhere you go in the world. But with the response I get from some on these boards, it appears that they have already bought the lies of the ruling class. The lies that tell you that other African countries look up to Nigeria. The lies that tell you that Nigeria is one of the best countries in Africa. The lies that tell you that Nigeria, with a population of 120 or so million, cannot exist if she is divided into smaller nations. But yet, they fail to explain how Ghana, with a population of 23 million, is capable of providing her average citizens with 2.5 times the average income of a Nigerian citizen. They fail to explain to you how Ghana is able to provide 24/7 electricity to her citizens with less than a 5th of the population of Nigeria and less than a 3rd of the land area. They continuously lie and make up all sorts of wild stories to keep the average Nigerian caged. They tell you that a balkanized Nigeria will be a failure, but yet they are unable to make a unified Nigeria anything but.
Listen up inhabitants of the geographic space known as Niger area (British used this to come up with Nigeria), the ruling class is mis-leading you. And until you wake up and take what is rightfully yours, you will continue to suffer. Note, no one is going to hand you peace and prosperity on a silver platter. You must rise up and take it!
If you know what is good for you, you will drop your sit-down-they-look attitude and take to the streets demanding the removal of the ruling class. Make no mistake, the same people that rule Nigeria now, are the same people that ruled Nigeria for the last 45+ years. The only difference is now, they have traded in their military Kakki for Abada and Suits.
