Hi, I just really want to stop this Bad habit. I accept it is bad, and it is a habit, and I have no reasonable excuse for doing this. I am a Christian, and I have never fornicated, but I still have this immoral habit in me. Please could you all give me Godly advices, and pray for me. I really really want to stop. I am fed up of this. I am 20years old. Please pray for me. i really really want to stop and keep myself healthy and pure, because I fully know, and accept that this practice is not pure.
Please what should I do???

I leave in the US (School), and there is temptation. I know there is everywere, but I really want to quit this. It is bad. Please Please and Please talk to me you all.

WHo told you that watching porn and masturbating is a bad habit?
It's only a bad habit if you'd rather do it than do other reasonable stuffs. I mean there's no crime in watching porn or masturbating. You are 20 years old. Masturbate goddarn it. No one is holding you!! But i understand if you want to stop it because, u do it 65 times a day. If you do it more than 10 times a day, dude, You have issues.
My advice to you is, cut it off if you feel you are doing it too much. Stay away from it. You don't need no damn prayers. throw out the pornographic cd's you have in your dorm.
I mean go to games, and outtings. When you are out most of the time, i doubt if you'll masturbate in front of everyone. Go and PREACH if you have nothing to do.
Start envagelising. No one will tell you how to stop Masturbating!

King01,firstly i have to say,it's a good thing and a big step you've taken by you realizing that this is bad on your own,no one is beyond temptation and no one is beyond tests,such habits could be destructive and that's if what you mean right now is that it's beyond your control,there's no other thing that i'll tell u but to go to God on your kness and ask for forgiveness and the strength to do this no more,i know it's hard at this age and with the things that surrounds us,but God has told us that he would give u the strength to fight this evils.No one is perfect,only God makes perfect,leave it to God, he sees your heart and He'll perfect the desires of your heart.

hey King, don't feel so let down, its not as bad as you think. real piece of advice, first get rid of the porn video, two engage in lots of sports, social activity, volunteer work, hobby, anything to keep your idle mind busy. when you come home exhausted and or loooking forward to the next day, these thoughts will hardly come up unless of course you reach over to the trash cans to get the porn videos out. The final solution, as soon as you are ready, grab a cute girl and walk down the aisle  |

helo king01, i think one fact you should not overlook is that the battle field is in your mind. you need to watch the kind of information you allow to trail your five senses all the way into your mind. especially your eyes. your mind will only work on the pictures you have captured, and you can do only so little to control your actions. so you gotto be careful. others have given helpful advice (especially getting rid of those porn materials and engaging yourself productively in other areas as sports etc.) i suggest you follow these hints. Habbits may be hard to break,but an easier way of getting rid of a bad one is by replacing it with a good one,then, gradually you'd get to the promise land. Goodluck |
