Hi all, was at Zoom Iganmu today, promo is still on, but the modem displayed above is temporarily out of stock, they have another USB type. The broadband is only available as a monthly 15000, other plans (plan B) are on 1X. They had some problems last week, are expecting to carry out an upgrade next month.  I decided to wait until they have the type displayed above.
Correct,  i was a there office yesterday (Monday) at Costine, to find out what was wring with there ZOOM internet speed. And they assure me it will soon be settle soon Grin Grin

Hi xxvictorxxx, why is Zoom having this problem so soon, what will happen when people like Hayprof, Lynxnoon arrive, which maybe pretty soon. Can we meet sometime and you give me a demo on the zoom. I really want to be convinced that it is better, faster, more reliable than Starcomms

Hi xxVICTORxx, one other thing you should know, the USB modem you have and displayed has a fragile end which breaks rather too easily, saw a couple of people at the Iganmu office who came for replacement, had to pay about N5000 for this. So please handle yours with care

Starcomms izap connection has been very bad of recent.
I can't even upload a file of 100KB.  Undecided
Its not just about sending text messages to renew subscriptions but improving on their internet services.
Everyday new subscribers come in, but no expansion.

Hi All,

Finally, been looking for a forum like this with like minded individuals.

Of recent Starcomms has been abysmal, recent being since last Saturday/Sunday. Connections speeds have been deteriorating over time since i got izap in August 2008 but this recent dip is ridiculous, I have the same signal strength i've always had on EVDO but it takes at least 5 minutes to open my yahoo inbox.

I've had a friend on Zain's data service with the same issue occuring at about the same time but will like to confirm if you guys on other networks are having similar experiences. Also read earlier on in one of the posts about their being a problem with SAT-3, can anyone confirm this?

Mtn stated today that the problem is from the sat 3 fibre optic cable and will be rectified within 10 days. They want us to bear with them until the problem is rectified.

Hi Hayprof, I will like to speak to you about improving my bandwidth and downloading massive files. Reach me on 018122290,08039626075.

Can someone please beg Starcomms to share some of their N34 billion ($225 MILLION DOLLARS) profit for the year ended with their loyal data customers by improving the network, I'm sure they can rise to the challenge Zoom, MTN is throwing their way. I certainly hope Starcomms will score another first by giving their customers total broadband sometime soon
