How Long Can One Stay Celibate And Still Stay Sane?

Now I'm not referring to the ones hidden in convents and seminaries all their lives. Hmm, on a second thought, them too.

In a sexually aware world like ours today where nearly everybody has seen nude pictures if not pornography; where nearly every clique in junior secondary is already talking lots about the opposite sex and heightening the suspense before they eventually do it, how long then can one stay a virgin and stay sane even amidst pressure from virtually every corner?

Forever. Being a virgin or choosing to remain celibate is a choice.


Its when its no longer a choice that you can begin to question one's in sanity.

@poster, this is all a matter of belief and mind.

You can do anything for what you believe in.
If you truly believe in the doctrine of catholic priesthood or sisterhood,
You can stay all your life without sex and wont feel bad about anything.
You can kill someone for calling your mum a prostitute even if she is a prostitute.
My point is that you should really understand that everything you do is not always the best.
