Head of Finance - Telecoms, Nigeria

Leading international telecoms company requires a Head of Finance for their West African headquarters, located in Lagos. The right choice will have had experience of working in companies with $60-80 million turnover, they will have had experience of working in non-home countries, ie expats, preferably in developing countries. Duties will include re-organising the existing finance department and running it more effectively and having the ability to develop and gain the trust of your finance team, this comprises of 15 locals. Our client is running on IFS, experience of this, (or another finance system) will be a real benefit. Mission end to end 3G Architecture Manager for 3G pilot (Utran, Core, applications). Manage the activity of the local 3G architecture team (5 to 6 persons). Organize and coordinate the required technical workshops with the customer. Organize and coordinate regular internal coordination/follow-up meetings/conf calls with TPMs and Architects. Consolidate the field trial technical database : gather/create/classify architecture documents and maintain them updated and accessible on the Servers. SENIOR ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

A-Star International –USA is searching for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our on-going project operations in Nigeria. The applicant shall have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 10 years design, planning and construction supervision of utility distribution systems. Some knowledge of project management techniques is desirable.

This is a contract position and is expected to be of 6 months duration with possibility of extension.
 
Reporting to the Area Manager, job responsibilities will include:
·        Developing project plans and design details
·        Developing schedules and adhering to schedules
·        Developing personal work plans and progress reports

Listen, here's food for thought: Design the Life You Want

THE WISE MAN LOOKS AHEAD… PROVERBS 14:8

Design the life you want and your world will change! Here are three
principles that will help you do it.

1) Understand that God wants you to succeed. Give up the mistaken idea
that this earthly life has no value. God delights in our success, what
parent wouldn’t? ‘What is success anyway?’ you ask. It’s the progressive
achievement of a God-given goal, resulting in feeling good about your
life. Listen: ‘Carefully follow the terms of this covenant, so that you
may prosper in everything you do’ (Deuteronomy 29:9 NIV).

2) Consult God, then set definite goals. Solomon says, ‘We should make
plans - counting on God to direct us’ (Proverbs 16:9 TLB). If you’re
constantly caving in to stress and confusion, you may be on the wrong
track. Go back and check with God! It’s His will for you to succeed in
these six areas:
1) spiritual
2) family
3) physical
4) mental
5) social
6) financial.

3) Invest in yourself. Listen: ‘…Though it cost all you have, get
understanding’ (Proverbs 4:7 NIV). If you’re willing to spend money in a
fine restaurant but not on good books, your future’s already determined.
The first book you need to invest in is a Bible. John writes: ‘…and the
Word was God’ (John 1:1). Each time you deposit God’s Word within you,
you’re depositing more of God. Think how that affects every area of your
life! Cultivate a teachable spirit. Listen: ‘Let the wise listen and add
