Madonna University: The Truth

I don't know why people from outisde looking in believe that every private school graduate did not pass JAMB. I made my JAMB in one sitting but i decided to go to Babcock University because my elder sister spent 7years in LASU. Take a look at today's job market and tell me whether a good job does not come with an age tag. How many secular universitiy graduates came out of school below the age of 25??? and yet here you all are ruining the good names of Private Universities. Just because your parents can't afford to pay for it does not mean you should come here and run your flabby lips in envy.

now,first of all the point i was making about going for an hiv/aids test on either an american tourist visa or green card wasnt me dissing american policy,in actual fact i pointed it out because of smc's assertion that doing similar thing in a faith based private university is trampling on their fundamental human rights.if she had answered my questions that yes american embassy did do so either thru green card application or tourist visas,then that would have blown her argument to pieces, i used america specifically because its a model for human rights non violation,rule of law e.t.c to sum up my point on that,im simply saying for the american immigration in their wisom to do that means they know,excluding people on the basis of them being hiv positive,hepatitis e.t.c is not trampling on their human rights like smc kept on saying,i like the last 2 lines of your paragraph above and ill like her to read thru it and then apply it to private universities who are private entities/businesses btw

thank you very much for this second paragraph,exactly my point,if the millitary who we all agree operate on a set modicum of respect for human rights vis avis high level of discipline can impose all these rules,regulations,laws e.t.c and they are not even a faith based institution but secular based how much more a faith based private university?the second question for smc is that she should read this second paragraph and ask herself the same question because thats what i have been saying all along
the millitary might do it for diffrent reasons to the private universities but the fact remains that they are within their rights to do so and i dont see it as trampling on fundamental human rights

you are absolutely right, the problem with some people is that they try to generalize when discussing about an issue. simply because some private uni are not up to scratch they try to discourage other people from going there.

i stopped reading at the point in bold.  you are clearly living in dreamland, perhaps a medicine-induced haze.  ever hear of guantanamo?  did the burma cyclone not kind of remind you of katrina??  and you ignored my thing where no tourist i've ever met has been denied a visa based on their hiv, unless of course they chose to make it known and even then.  to get a US visa/most visas for most countries, you must prove that you intend to return to your home nation- sufficient ties etc.  hiv should not affect this decision.

From what i get many of you dont just know what you're talking about,just a few of you have the true picture of what u're talking about here dats why i think so far in this argument though i didnt go tru it all,I think truth made plenty sense though i wouldnt want to comment on the religious aspect,whether it is real or not I know somehow i have benefitted from the pilgrimage center Elele which is my campus.anyways I was compelled to join in the debate though its risky because as a student of this "Great" Institution one has to beware of Vamps(vampires) thats what they call u know who. to correct an opinion of whoever has it Not everybody in madonna didnt make waec or jamb matter of fact its like a last resort option because u do not have the connections(usually so) to get u into a federal or state university or into the course of your choice. one thing is true inspite of all that is said there are the good parts of madonna at least cultism activities do not go on within the premises(am not saying there are no cultists oh!) and at least during the period i was on IT,my boss was impressed with me and my school,but then there are so many bad sides,forget all the rules and regulations like the weekly compulsory sanitation(are we cleaners abeg?),or the jugging exercise(na by force?),or no camera phones(u gimme Phone,if person dash me nko?),or the curfew or even boundary and restrictions or D compulsory exeats to leave school(whose busines where i go?and wot if its urgent and mind u,u are allowed just 5 times) and offcourse the compulsory lateness for woteva fine(u know wetin hold person?) this is just to mention a few, but the most annoying thing is that in other universities shit goes on(true) but there is hardly a situation u cannot do anything about it,it is true that our rights could be denied or taken for granted in some instances but in Madonna it is constantly abused,how does it feel to watch someone spill pepper in your eyes and they is absolutely nothing you can do about it,they constantly rub your dignity(not even pride oh!) in the mud,they say we dont av an SUG but come to think of it I think we av some form of student administrational board comprising of the Hall reps and the male and female General Hall reps representing what other unis wud see as SUG president and vice(For heavens sake u need to see how this people abuse the rights of students,its monopoly offcourse) just so most of the holier than thou fellas know most of the rules are not in the handbook(madonna bible sorry i meant madonna rule book),they keep bringing them out everyday without documenting it.any time i meet people outside Skul i am usually ashamed to say I'm from Madonna because of the mentality many other students have associated us with but they are not far from the truth but I and a couple of my friends are different though,just because of the lack of freedom i see some of my friends anytime they breathe fresh air outside skul,they want to utilise it as much as possible and do crazy things like smoke and so on so forth,boys want to maximise time with their girlfriends so they leave skul together check into hotels and do woteva,like sex,i swear b4 i entered madonna i didnt know hotel bussiness thrived so much just so u dont think its beef let me tell u a lil story

I finished secondary school in '02 tried getting admission to unilag oh boy na die so I opted for diploma,while at it still tried my hands on jamb for my dream course (medicine) so i got admission into UNN(runs ofcourse)to do biochemistry after trying UNIILORIN as well and I was just duped and that was after a fruitless diploma year in LAG,in my 200 in Nsukka it turned out to be that my admission was fake so my folks decided it was time to quit the search for a university and go and do my almighty medicine in madonna(sth I'd so much dreaded) and join my elder brother who was reading law,so i went joined march batch 05,found out that their medicine department wasnt all that(I wonder where the pioneers get or got their hope from because they av still not graduated a medicine set since inception) i switched to an accredited departmen ttried not to get into anybody's way,and just after my elder brother was expelled a year to his graduation from a 5yr course(law) for talking back at a security man who harrassed him for no just cause a friend of mine called to help her mark attendance in her department(just attendance Oh!not exams) lo and behold i was apprehended for impersonation fine I was guilty actually and with the Intervention of my folks I was spared the axe and got away with a penalty fine.I tried to stay clean as crazy as I can be but I was clean anyway,after I resumed from IT still maintained the cleanliness then 1 day as i was reading in reading areas at night my roomate called me that the security was looking for me so they took my luggage and asked me to report at the office i reported that same night and they told me to go and come back the next day so I did,the next I came back and it turned out to be that I was accused of being a lesbian and they tot i practised with my bestfriend and family friend too,the only girl that was close to me,because i generally prefer male friendship,after looking for evidences calling my roomates,her roomates no proof yet,even sending vamps to monitor us they cudnt get anything to hold water,i wasnt even allowed to plead my case just because it was a a hall reps word against mine or my friend's,the panel members comprised of d DVC and the registrar and offcourse the general hall rep(a student like me oh!) decided to expel us on the grounds that they tought we were too close(how absurd)and some other people that were being accused too without proof oh!, so I invited my mum to plead again and then they changed their statement,they said they were expeling me because i appeared b4 the panel 4 d second time first time being the previous impersonation case,(how is that my fault?its not even in the Handbook)after much pleas from my mum and they understood that we were desperate and after insulting her unnecessarily they said because i have appeared b4 panel 2 times i shud not go unpunished(punished for wot? a crime i wasnt guilty of or that they had no proof) so they said they said they were going to reduce the punishment because my mum  pleaded(rubbish)and the alternative wud be that I'd go on a 1 yr suspension and pay a 100,000 naira(can u imagine),and my friend got the same sentence even though she had not had a case before.so right now am serving a punishment(1 yr suspension and 100,000 naira) for wot i dont know anything about and am wondering if i shud go back to resume next year cuz am scared if anybody wants me out(vamps or hall reps) so badly all they need do is come up with another accusation maybe stealing this time and I'd get d axe. or wot do u tink?

Talking about beauty and facilities NUC visits this skul everynow and then,they always find a way to camouflage Their shortcomings and If u see the picture of this skul(taken at night) on a mobile phone or laptop,it looks like a 5 star hotel. U can say all these and more about my prestigious skul but I dont av any regrets or beef(I dont even eat it,Y wud I keep it).
