Most people want to sound politically correct by justifying his demotion when it is not the truth. I'm pretty sure he didnt promote himself. Now that he's been demoted the next step will be to expel him from NIPSS.

Guys look

Yar'adua can run his administration as he so pleases, history will judge him as will leave some day.

But let no one buy this due process and rule of law scam sold by the President and his AGF

There is a thing called executive orders and Presidential powers, by virtue of this what the President says is law. If what the President said was unacceptable it was up to the then Senate to debate it and overrule him.  If Ribadu was Promoted by Executive order and that promotion was supported by the then IGP then Ribadu was duely promoted.

He should only be demoted on the grounds of misconduct, a charge which no one can lay against him.

Nigerians need to wake up!!!!!!!!!!  why is no one wondering why the same Government that nominated him for Senior officers course somehow no longer thinks he is even a senior officer?HuhHuh?

Our current President is simply ignoring what he should do as President and engaging in trivial matters. There are better ways to describe these shenanigans but respect for due process and rule of law is not one of them.

Ribadu's case is really sad as it will scare anyone trying to be honest when dealing with government officials or when carrying out sensitive functions relating to government

God bless ribadu

If his promotion was not due, either by duration of service or by outstanding perfomance, i think things should be made right. And this move should be extended into every part of the country.
The fight against corruption should be on all fronts. Ribadu really stands for anti-corruption, and i know he won't be bitter if it is true that his promotion was not deserved.

Even though Ribadu did a lot of good, nobody can say he was a saint. Almost every Nigerian living in Nigeria is corrupted by the system. OBJ, his boss should have been prosecuted along with all the other governors and corrupt officers.

He who gives the bribe is as guilty as the person receiving it.

He Ribadu CANNOT be adjudged to be a hero when in fact it is on record that the government in which Ribadu was the EFCC boss was said to have been more corrupt than the successive governments in the history of Nigeria politicking. It is a case of chicken coming home to roost??? Ribadu belongs to the same 'class' that perpetrated injustice and perversion on the land. Good riddance!

You guys are talking trash, where was Ribadu when Yaradua was selected? The hands he feed  is now hurting him badly.
Hahahahahahaha Justice should never be one sided.

Anybody blaming our aboki president must be insane, When he was selected did you condemn him or the person that selects him?.
Everything that is happening now is OBJ's brain child. If Yara is doing fine we will thank Obj for giving him to us, now he is doing bad as most of you feels, we should as well thank or blame OBJ for selecting him for us.

But wait, how many of those thieves(Governors) are in jail now?. The system failed since 1999 or even before then. So guys we got to live with it.

If he was given double promotion was that not favouritism? Infact the promoter should be arrested immediately.

I thought Ribadu was sent on course because "it is compulsory for AIGs" or something like that.
Now that he's no more an AIG, they should bring him back to EFCC, abi ?

Are you kidding me?

Look, my advise for Ribadu is to simply move on quick; there is no way he could recover from this severe down fall, which he has setup for himself.
Or else, things will only continue get worst for him, because theman is not as clean as he seems to be.

Trust me!

Why are people making noise about the guy's demotion? Was it not from DC that he was promoted to AIG in the first place? Is that how it is done?

Was it not under his leadership at EFCC dt people like Obasanjo and his men and daughter and sons cleaned out the treasury?
As far as I am concerned, Ribadu is just like any other corrupt officer that was a tool in Obasanjo's hands to terrorise his opponents.

Good riddance to bad rubbish

JAMES IBORI and BUKOLA SARAKI @ work

First they made yar alost adua (it wasn't okiro) ease him out of office via operation kurugate,re-deployed so many stubborn and unfriendly operatives away from the EFCC,then they allowed Lamorde to hold brief briefly(because they knew that Lamorde as EFCC chair will mean that the status quo ante will persist as Lamorde = Ribadu,to a very large extent) while they packaged their main man,Femi Babafemi to take over as EFCC chairman, but they had a quick rethink following the negative security reports they got about that plan, hence they quickly shopped for a senior  and well decorated officer(ex) to occupy the post;enter Farida Waziri(who had earlier stood as surety for some officials (Akume for one)being prosecuted for corruption by the EFCC ).

When the uninitiated thought they'd seen the last act in the bizzare and macabre drama @ the EFCC,the lead actors;JAMES IBORI and BUKOLA SARAKI decided they still had one last (you wish) act left ;enter Ibrahim Magu.Yes Ibrahim Magu, that erstwhile head of corporate governance, that "twat" that refused to listen to several entreaties from Ibori and co to soft-pedal,yes that Magu who had earlier been posted out of the EFCC,needed to be taught a lesson.

First his Lagos house was raided on the denied order of Farida. They took everything takeable.
You'd think they'd let him be,you're wrong. It was gathered that the man was @ home when his Lagos home was raided, but because he locked the raiders out for 4hrs,Ibori,Saraki Jnr and their henchmen namely Farida and the AGF Michael I-don't-care,had a brainwave that Magu must have utilised the 4hrs he locked the raiders out to probably swallow some sensitive documents which he now faxed to his Abuja home, hence that place too had to be raided. However having failed to see any of the so-called documents as Magu was alleged to now be storing them in his stomach,he had to be arrested so they'll be sure that the sensitive documents won't get to the right wrong hands

Enter Ribadu.Of course how could they allow that pompous brat to go away with all that humiliation he meted to them(Ibori)and was almost meting to them (Odili/Saraki),no way, there was no forgiving ribadu, even if it's the last thing they did,as long as they Bukola hand-picked Yar alost and took him to OBJ FOR for endorsement as PDP flag bearer and Ibori largely bank-rolled the campaigns(with stolen monies from Delta State),Ribadu must be screwed as they always have the president's ears.

He(Ribadu)is lucky he still has some few loyalists in the force (who graciously tipped him off) as he would have been arrested yesterday.

However, the collosal mistake he made was to have agreed to proceed on the Kuru course,he should have resigned from the force (@ least to 4da remove from this govt's credibility or lack of it) and proceeded to the US to take up that job @ the UN(i'm 100% they would have accomodated him @ the UN)

FOOTNOTE

Pray tell, which Parry Osayande is the PSC chairman,I hope not the same Parry that arrested Anini and co as CP Bendel, who later got into trouble because of the way he was handling the murder of George Idah(slain Oredo LG chairman)which cost him his job eventually.
If he's the same one, then it's a shame how he has been trying to justify Ribadu's demotion,a real shame
