This your 45days thing, are you VERY VERY sure of the 45days? Remember people pay not just for the vehicle but the service and timing. I understand the Eastern Ports are backlogged; It was on this same forum Midas announced that he'd can get any pre-ordered vehicle to Lagos within 6-8weeks of full payment. When full payments were made, it became "story story, come today, come tomorrow".
Also, that vehicle listed on the link Akuya posted is listed for about $15k. Assuming you get it for $13k or there abouts plus shipping $1400, that puts you up at about $14400 (which is N1.728mil @ N120=$1). Clearing at N250k takes it up to N1.978mil and your pre-order price is N2.050. I find it hard to believe that you and your chaps would go through all this hussle for just about $600 (which is way less than 10% commission).
Lastly, just to point out, I'm not trying to insinuate anything. . .I'm just testing my sanity level.

This is becoming very interesting, i guess the agents in the USA are all working for free, and so are the people that might be involved on the deal in nigeria, i will wait to see how this will all end.
I just hope i wont be disappointed, but i am sure inspire has nothing up his sleeves, but i am sure there better and cheaper cars that this in the US of A.

My agent verified and it happened to be a scam, the phone number is a fax number to a public library, Beside $25,000 is ridiculously low for a 2007 BMW X5, I explained the situation to the Nairalander and the quest was discarded, An alternative s being sorted

The only thing I've accused Inspired of is sloppiness. I also tried to protect him from the possibility of being duped. The car he believes has been taken off the market because his agent paid a deposit, was offered to me for sale! The car is still available for sale as of now. Instead of appreciation, I am called various names. Most people are smart enough to read and comprehend, buyers should beware. I think I'm done with this thread. |

I beg as far as i'm concerned Akuya hasn't done any thing wrong, he wasn't all out to attacking inspired he only stated what he observed,as far as i'm concerned he should be commended for his effort not insulted how many of you will make out time to investigate transaction that doesn't concern them, the onus now lays on inspired to defend himself, you don't have to wait until someone complains b4 taking precautionary measures, i personally have met inspired m and he seems like an okay guy but i won't because of that throw caution to the wind. |

I do not see anything wrong with what Akuya has done. He did not call anyone names but highlighted the sloppiness of the transaction.
I think Inspired should just learn something from this experience. He has worked so hard for his good name to allow sloppiness to tarnish it. This is the second time he will be sloppy in his transactions on this forum and people are watching even if they don't say anything. I will just advice that he has nothing else to prove here. He should just get on with his business and avoid trying too hard to prove a point which eventually lead to all these sloppiness. A good name is better than silver and gold.

i share the views of kevyngbash and ziontrain, i don't think what akuya did was something anywhere near bad oo, i guess he was only trying to watch the back of a brother who might not be too vigilant,yes inspired has made a name here and if akuya doesn't care about his reputation being tarnished either from one someelse's mistake he wouldn't have gone all the way to investigate.
