Like, i said u need a personal internet connection to be able to do an upgrade, because u dont want anything go wrong with the process. .or else u get your fone bricked (totally damaged)

So, a cyber cafe wont do it, . .

even if u format your fone a million times, so lng its a Nokia product u can always get it updated.

Tell me, am sure u do connect your fone to dat cyber cafe computer, am i rite?!
Cos dat mite av caused the problem wit yah fone, possibly VIRUS!

@Jeo
Itz nt alwayz about having an up-2date antìvirus. Sum malicious viruses (trojans nd worms) do self-update.

Wot is the format code?
Do I also format my M.card since it has refused to install my .sis files?
All the same, my phone seems to work better without the M.card.

@gulknight, its a virus problem. At sharemobile, hackers upload files embedded with deadly viruses that will crash your phone, files like om 4.4, 4.5 etc. U need an anti virus. software.

@jeopheri, these re d codes 4 formanting but use it @ your own risk, me and my username will no claim responsibility for any damage caused.
Sign here; ___________.
Hard format; when d phone is bein powered, as in switched on, hold down d green call buton + def3 button + * butoon, for like 5 seconds.
Soft format ; *#7370# good luck.
@ini, i have dat om 4.4 in my 3500classic downloaded 4rm share, wonder why it hasn't crashed ma phone. Maybe b'cos it's a java, wouldn't dare on ma n72.
@eghosa, upgrading firmware is sometin dat is done by a specialist, with a pc, a suite and experience. Luk 4 them around your area.
@hay, wot abt your sony ericson, is it now browsing free?

@ Hay the files refused to be unsinstalled from the phone even after deleting them from the M.card.
After formatting my phone, what will now happen as the files fesude to be installed back.
Do I also format my m.card?

Re: Phone Engineers on Nairaland willing to assist you.
« #1595 on: June 24, 2009, 01:29 PM »

Yes, sometimes u call the Soft format a typical Reset of d fone back to factory installed. . .

Talking Hard format wips everything on d fone out, including messages and contacts, media files and d rest. .

@Jeo, according to my World wide studies, its always perfect to 4mat d memory card b4 u 4mat the phone (. .this in your case, is because u need to do a full format)

Now, Insert the memory card into the fone, go to MENU > TOOLS > MEMORY > Option > Format Memory Card . .u will get the notification "All Data will be Deleted during format" Press YES!

. .thats it your done!

N.b, afta u 4mat d memory card, i suggest u 4mat dat fone again, . .Gd luk!
