Men Going Through Midlife Crisis

Hi, I know that women go through all sorts of crazy mixed up feelings, during their lifetime.  Due to hormonal imbalances and menopause. But what about men, what is going on here, some men claim to go through this same period similar to a womans menopause. My ex went through something like menopause. I am wondering if it has been scientifically proved men have it too.
