The Lake of Fire

"And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire." (Revelation 20:15)
 
Some people may not believe in hell, but God makes it clear that all "the fearful, the unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone" (Revelation 21:8).
 
Actually, Jesus Christ said more about hell than anyone else in the Bible.  To the unsaved, He will say: "Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels" (Matthew 25:41).
 
The lake of fire is not here on the earth.  The beast and the false prophet are to be cast into the lake of fire before the binding of Satan for a thousand years; then the present earth itself is to be removed, and finally Satan will be "cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever" (Revelation 20:10; see also 19:20; 20:2, 7, 10-11).  Thus the lake of fire is in existence both before and after the removal of the present earth, and will continue to exist forever.
 
Many argue that the lake of fire is symbolic and should not be taken literally.  If so, the reality must be so indescribable that it can only be symbolized by an eternal lake of fire.  Perhaps it is some distant star, since stars are essentially lakes of fire, and those "that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ" are to be "punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord" (2 Thessalonians 1:8-9).
 
Rather than questioning the reality of hell, which is the just destiny of all who reject or ignore the free gift of salvation provided by the infinite love and sacrificial suffering of God Himself in Christ on their behalf, men and women should come to Christ in faith and "be saved from wrath through him" (Romans 5:9). Giving and Receiving

"Now ye Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning giving and receiving, but ye only." (Philippians 4:15)

As Paul went on his missionary journeys, he never asked for money for himself from the people to whom he preached.  He later wrote to the Thessalonians, "because we would not be chargeable unto any of you, we preached unto you the gospel of God" (1 Thessalonians 2:9).  He did stress the teaching of Christ that "the labourer is worthy of his reward" (1 Timothy 5:18; Luke 10:7) and that "even so hath the Lord ordained that they which preach the gospel should live of the gospel" (1 Corinthians 9:14).  But he himself said: "I have used none of these things: neither have I written these things, that it should be so done unto me" (1 Corinthians 9:15).

Thus he was especially moved when the impoverished Christians at Philippi, without being asked, "sent once and again unto my necessity" (Philippians 4:16), and they were the only ones who did!  This act of generous concern came about, Paul recognised, because they "first gave their own selves to the Lord" (2 Corinthians 8:5).  As a result, Paul could assure them: "My God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:19).  Not only their material need, but every need.

They had learned a wonderful truth that every Christian needs to learn. As Paul told the Ephesian elders: "Remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive" (Acts 20:35).  Therefore, let each of us give in His name, "not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.  And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work" (2 Corinthians 9:7-8).  HMM

The Good Fight of Faith

Just as Jesus fought the good fight of faith during His life upon the earth, so you also must do! As He did before you, you must walk by faith & not by sight! For this is the victory that has overcome the world, your faith! As you fight the good fight to accomplish that which you're called to, you enforce the Lordship of Jesus & the defeat of Satan! As you are obedient to the call of the Lord, you can draw from His resources, His armory & from His treasure house, for your successful warfare!

Be aware of three things you must war against: the forces of darkness, circumstances and your flesh! By your spiritual enablement, the enemy is no match for you! By your divine authority, the enemy can't stand against you! My word in your mouth will bring change to your circumstances! My word, believed & spoken by you will change things around you & for you! For where there is the command of a king, there is great power! You have been given authority over the enemy, you have dominion over circumstances, & you have authority over your flesh, by the Spirit of God in you! You are to reckon your flesh dead because of sin, & now dead to sin! You are to consider yourself alive unto righteousness & you are to present yourself as a living sacrifice unto Jesus, the Commander-in-chief of the armies of God!

You are to command life in the midst of death: peace in the midst of confusion: joy in the midst of sorrow: prosperity in the midst of poverty: salvation in the midst of destruction! You are anointed to overcome, positioned to prevail, situated to succeed trained to triumph, & empowered to be enlarged in life! Don't give up, don't give in, don't surrender, don't quit, don't compromise with the enemy, for you are more than a conqueror, in Jesus' name! You must choose to refuse to lose!

GREAT BREAKING, SHAKING, SEPARATING
A great breaking and a great shaking.
A great breaking of the things that are standing in the way of God moving in His Church and in the earth.
A great breaking, a great shaking in the church, a great breaking, even of leaders.
Even breaking away – separations.
 
"These things are in preparation because I'm realigning, I'm redefining, I'm clarifying.
This is My work, this is a work by My hand, says the Spirit of God.
I am moving men in My Body, and women in My Body like a men on a chess board.
It is all for a purpose, it is all for My plan.
Some that I will set aside.
And there will be those who will rise and ride with Me.
I am the one who decides, I am the one who decides who will ride with Me.
I am the one who decides.
 
There are some I will set in the wayside, on the side.
And I will bring others in, that I will use and begin to release into My Church into My Body,

CLEAR AND PURE WATERS
I see clear and pure waters pouring once again upon the Body
I see the day coming when clear and pure waters are going to be poured out on the Body,
and the Bride will be washed and purified.
Clear and pure waters will flow from the Five-fold Ministry.
 
GETTING THEM OUT
"I've already begun to move some, I've already begun,
This by the work of My Spirit, it is by the power of My Spirit this will all be done.
I'm getting out of My house, I'm getting them out, I'm getting them out,
I see them coming down, and coming out of the house.

Can you explain the highlighted phrase above?  Did you mean to say that the world rejected God or the church, or both?  Thanks for the illumination.

My Chains Fell Off

"But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light." (1 Peter 2:9)
 
The fourth verse of Charles Wesley's great hymn "And Can It Be That I Should Gain?" compares Peter's miraculous deliverance from prison with a sinner's deliverance from bondage to sin.  "Peter was sleeping, . . . bound with two chains. . . . And, behold, the angel of the Lord came upon him, and a light shined in the prison: . . . And his chains fell off from his hands. And the angel said unto him . . . follow me" (Acts 12:6-8).
 
Long my imprisoned spirit lay,
Fast bound in sin and nature's night;
Thine eye diffused a quick'ning ray,
I woke, the dungeon flamed with light:
My chains fell off, my heart was free,
I rose, went forth, and followed thee.

The Bible teaches that before being delivered, "ye were the servants of sin |i.e., in bondage to sin|, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you. Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness" (Romans 6:17-18).  We were powerless to gain freedom on our own.
 
But "God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ" (2 Corinthians 4:6), bringing freedom and life.  "For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened |i.e., made alive| by the Spirit" (1 Peter 3:18).  "And you, being dead in your sins . . . hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses" (Colossians 2:13).  If He has done all this for us, how can we do less than follow Him? EMPTY BUBBLES
 
The world offers empty bubbles to any who will receive them. They look good. They look interesting as they float your way, but they are worthless, absolutely worthless. I want you to bear these words in mind when those empty bubbles float your way. They are of no value and they have no significance.
 
Empty bubbles have been traps of the enemy for a very long time. Many have even chased them. Many have caught a few only to have them pop, leaving, you guessed it, nothing. Don’t chase those empty bubbles. Don’t give them your time or attention. They may look good, even interesting, but they contain nothing of any value. In fact they are not even worth the air that was used to blow them your way. They are worthless, absolutely worthless.

                                              The Pleasures of This Life
 
I want to talk to you about the pleasures of this life. They are temporal. They are not eternal. They offer only momentary gratification. Remember this, beloved. Remember these words when the world is wooing you in a direction other than the one that I am providing. The pleasures of this world do not offer anything lasting, only a momentary satisfaction that fades fast.
 
I regard each of My children as special. I regard you as valuable, valuable to My kingdom and very valuable to Me, because I love you. So know this: When you are being wooed in any direction other than the one that I am offering, you will receive nothing that you can take to your heavenly home. But when you walk in My direction, intent on following My course, you will store treasure of an outstanding quality that will be much to your liking. You will know that you have received the genuine article while on earth, and you will be pleased, greatly satisfied, with the offering of pleasure that this choice has made, greatly satisfied!
 

God say - You have my key         |  |

Last night , the Lord spoke to me saying;
My children, I have given you the key to my abundance,
my salvation and my kingdom. The ball is now in your court.

I have not given you the keys to my treasury, for your keeping,
but rather, that you would come in here and go out,
serving yourselves and others as well.

You are the administrators of my riches and my blessings.
You are free to get for yourselves all that you need.
You are also free to serve others as well, and change destinies.

The Lord showed me a great, unfenced city, with city gates.
It looked like a great fortress (stronghold), which was full of might and
glory. Within the city was like a great storehouse, where
everything crowded to overflowing was stored and waiting to be collected.

Then I heard a voice saying: My people, I have given you this key to my
kingdom that you would open for others the kingdomof God.
You are the ones who either welcome them in, or lock them out.
You are the ones to feed the hungry, and share the bread to them.
Thus says the Lord; Outside, in front of your doors, stand so many people who
only wait for you to open the doors to my kingdom and let them in.
My child, you have not only received from me the key; my Word and Spirit, no!
you have also received a phenomenal key role from me.

God showed me people, who stood in a circle wondering at, examining,
appraising, evaluating, speaking about and discussing the key.
But alas! They did nothing with the keys.

My child, make use of your key, your calling.
Open my kingdom up to the people.

As I continued to pray over these words, the Lord showed me,
all around HIS children stood not only so many “outsiders”,
but there was still so much arid and unploughed land.

Open wide the gates to my house, that my blessings may overflow your
whole land, that my glory will break forth….

And so says the Lord; if you fail to make use of your rights and
responsibilities as my children, everything around you will become wasted,
withered and decay.See, now. Everything shrinks around you.
There is an outbreak of distress, poverty and lack all around you.
Your problems have outgrown you.
You will only be able to overcome every crisis that will come upon the world
if you unabashedly make use of the key I have given to you.

With the key, you will not only be able to take care of the needs of your
neighbours, but your needs as well.
Within my walls, says the Lord, is more than enough of everything, for
everyone.

And the key to this is; says the Lord, seek me with your whole, undivided
heart, hold to my word and to my anointing.

My children, I have given you the key, long before now. You have it.
It is with you, and goes everywhere with you.
If you refuse to make use of this key, hell will break loose around you, and
will attack you, destroying your harvest, and triumphing over you.

It is in your hands. Your standing up and acting (doing something about it)
will be a signal for me to show up(my appearance).
I will come upon you like a cloud, covering and protecting you, and driving
from you all your adversaries.
* Only speak my word loud and unabashedly.
* Be full of my word, proclaim my name, and do not be ashamed of me.
* Lay your hands boldly on the sick, and I, the LORD, will heal them.
  The healing is mine to do; My work, and not yours.
* Cast out demons! Do not take any nonsense from them.
* Speak in new tongues, do not complain and whine.
* Live a holy life.
* Do not be partakers of everything.
* Learn to also say NO. Speak to your mountains, your cares, and fears.
  Send them into the sea.

You have my key, my child, as well as my command.
Simply give my command further. I am with you.
What else do you need in these times?
Only move confidently forward.
The whole land is open before you.
You open it up and take it in.

Alive in Him

"I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me." (Galatians 2:20)

The final verse of Charles Wesley's "And Can it Be That I Should Gain?" provides a fitting climax to all that has gone before:

No condemnation now I dread,
Jesus, with all in Him, is mine;
Alive in Him, my living Head,
And clothed in righteousness divine,
Bold I approach th'eternal throne,
And claim the crown, thru Christ, my own.

"There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit" (Romans 8:1).  "Who is he that condemneth?" Not Christ! "It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us" (v. 34).

As in our text, we are now alive through Christ's work on the cross.  This gives us a standing far beyond our comprehension. "For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in him" (Colossians 2:9-10).  The song calls Him our "living Head," and so He is.  Peter calls Him a "living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious. . . . The same is made the head of the corner" (1 Peter 2:4-7).

In response to His love, we "put off concerning the former conversion |way of living| of the old man . . . And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness" (Ephesians 4:22-24).  Dressed in His righteousness, "Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need" (Hebrews 4:16). "Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day" (2 Timothy 4:8). JDM

The living God is calling to His beloved children and extending an invitation for you to seek Him in the morning hours. Don’t hesitate to offer a morning prayer to your Beloved on rising. Don’t hesitate to speak tender words of love to Me. My ear is attuned to your voice, your words. Oh, yes, My ear is attuned to you!
 
I want to relate some important points to those of you who desire to know Me better. First I will tell you that this desire thrills My heart.
 
I want you to know that those who seek Me will find Me. Why do I make it so easy? I make it easy, beloved, because I love you and desire to spend time with you.
 
So take these words into your heart, knowing that your Almighty God, the God Who created the universe, desires fellowship with you, beloved, fellowship anytime you see fit to honor Me with your sweet presence.
 
I am your eternal God and King Who delights in you. Won’t you take delight in the One Who created you to fellowship with Him? Yes, won’t you delight in offering to Me the pleasure of your company?
 

Systematic, expository study of God’s Word

PROLONGED WARFARE BETWEEN GENTILE KINGS
Daniel 11:1-20

The prophetic perspective concerning battles, conflicts and warfare among the kingdoms of the world before Christ’s Second Coming is revealed in great details in the concluding chapters of Daniel.  The revelation was introduced with the vision of chapter ten.  It covers a very long period and the fulfilment is for an appointed time (Daniel 10:1; 11:35; 12:4,9).  The angel, who was sent to Daniel from heaven assured him that the revelation will be ultimately be fulfilled “in the latter days: for yet the vision is for many days”, “even to the time of the end” (Daniel 10:14; 11:35; 12:4,9).  The angel also told Daniel that he was sent to show him “that which is noted in the Scripture of truth” (Daniel 10:21).
The beginning of the eleventh chapter is linked up with the end of the tenth chapter with the word, “also”.  The angel who spoke at the end of chapter ten continued speaking at the beginning of chapter eleven.  “I will shew thee that which is noted in the Scripture of truth, also I in the first year of Darius the Mede, even I, stood to confirm and to strengthen him. And now will I shew thee the truth” (Daniel 10:21; 11:1,2).  In response to Daniel’s intercession for his nation “in the first year of Darius” (Daniel 9:1-4; 11:1) the angel had strengthened the king to release the children of Judah from captivity.  The ministry of the angel was now to continue as he revealed God’s plan for His people “till the time of the end” (Daniel 11:35; 12:9).

1. THE PROMOTION AND DOMINION OF THE GRECIAN KING
Daniel 11:1-4; 7:5-8; 8:4-8,20,21; 10:13,20,21; 11:16,25; Job 20:5-7; Daniel 8:8,21-23; 2 Chronicles 26:16-21.

The eleventh chapter begins with startling revelations concerning the kingdoms of Medo-Persia and Greece.  Much of this part of the revelation had been given in chapter eight under the symbols of the ram and the he-goat.  These details are given here to connect the past predictions and present events with future prophecies.  Daniel was assured that three kings were still to rise up in Persia before the end of the Persian empire.  The last of the Persian kings would be far richer than all others before him.  He would raise up and maintain a great army with the rich resources of his kingdom.  Enriched and strengthened by his vast army he provoked Greece to engage Alexander the Great in battle.  He thought he was a terror to Greece but he became the scorn of Greece as he was shamefully defeated by Alexander the Great.

The prophecy reveals the rise of a mighty king to power.  The mighty king, to rule in “the realm of Grecia” was Alexander the Great. It was prophesied that he “shall rule with great dominion and do according to his will” (Daniel 11:3).  Alexander ruled with a despotic power but he too was soon broken and came to his end.  After the death of Alexander, the mighty king, his kingdom was divided into four parts, in fulfilment of Daniel’s prophecy. Power, pomp and possessions of the world do not last. Let us set our “affection on things above, not on things on the earth” (Colossians 3:2).

2. THE PARTNERSHIP AND DESTRUCTION OF GENTILE KINGS
Daniel 11:5-12; Jeremiah 46:7,8; Isaiah 10:7-12; 25:12; Ecclesiastes 9:11,12; Ezekiel 28:2,7; Psalm 49:10-13; Luke 12:15-20.

Here we have prophecies and predictions concerning “the king of the south” (south of Judah, that is, Egypt, Cyprus, Phoenicia and others) and “the king of the north” (north of Judah, that is, Syria, Babylon, Media and the neigbouring countries) These kings had a bloody war for some years and they eventually agreed to terminate the prolonged war by marriage.  Berenice, daughter of Ptolemy Philadelphus, king of Egypt was married to Antiochus, king of Syria.  The condition was that Antiochus would put away his wife Laodice and her children, which he did.  Berenice having brought an immense fortune to her husband, the king of the south, all things appeared to be peaceful for some time.  Sinful acts, murderous cruelty and destructive intrigues continued and the wars continued.  Neither kingdom that thought of outwitting the other had peace or victory.  Fierce and terrible battles were fought between the two kings.  The king of the south “set forth a great multitude” and fought.  The great army was defeated.  The king returned and later raised up another army for renewed fighting.  The victorious king became proud and gave himself to a sensual life.  “His heart shall be lifted up”. His kingdom was not strengthened by the victory he had won.  “He shall not be strengthened by it” (Daniel 11:12).

3. THE POWER AND DEFEAT OF THE GREATER KINGDOM
Daniel 11:13-20; 1 Kings 20:22-30; Jeremiah 46:6-8; Revelation 17:17; Job 20:8; Ezekiel 26:21; Psalm 37:35-38; Proverbs 19:21.

The detailed prophecy of Daniel was fulfilled to the minutest detail.  The wars between the south and the north of Judah occurred exactly as Daniel had prophesied.  God had sent an angel from heaven and the angel showed Daniel the events that will take place on earth over a period of many years.  This part of Daniel’s prophecy has been fulfilled already.  The latter part of the eleventh chapter and the twelveth chapter are still to be fulfilled.  We have no doubt concerning their fulfilment.  The word is true and the fulfilment is certain.  Jesus said, “when ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel, the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand)” Jesus said that Daniel was a true prophet; that there are details of his prophecy which were not yet fulfilled in His days on earth; and that other parts of Daniel’s prophecy which had not been fulfilled will yet be fulfilled.  Knowing that all of Daniel’s prophecies concerning “the time of the end” will be fulfilled and knowing that we are the generation “upon whom the ends of the world are come”, “what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness?” (2 Peter 3:11).

guys i am new to this fellowship and i kind of feel a disconnect everybody's talking is anyone listening? everyone has a word. is there anyway of having one person give the word while we discuss it until the next person gives his/her word from God?lplease correct me if i am wrong. i would really like to have a discussion on the word of God.  please pardon me but the discussions seem so complicated and i love simplicity could you guys come down a little for some of us who are not so "spiro jim jim" but love the lord
