Hunmh, LASIEFAIRE, that was deep!  Thanks for that.  It reminds me of part of this song by Phil Driscoll:

I remember you said you will never leave me
That in times of trouble you will be my friend
But sometimes, some doubt and fear try to steal my faith
Then I just run to you, I just run to you.

 Analytical,
   God will so richly bless you for coming up with this idea!  Smiley  Kiss I just came out of the religion forum and was just thinking how foul it is in there. Something like this for us to just bless and encourage one another is great and it has now become my fav thread.  Grin Cheesy

  One thing God has been drilling in my heart lately is the scripture in 2Cor 5:15 which says "and He died that those who live should no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died and rose again". We get so caught up in the things of life that we forget our lives do not belong to us, but are solely for God to use to bring glory to His name alone. May we all continue to live lives worthy of the calling that we have received! In Jesus name! Amen.

The inspiration of this thread is from His throne and I believe the message below will bless some members of the body of Christ.  Be blessed.

"A man was sleeping at night in his cabin when suddenly his room filled with light and the Saviour appeared.  The Lord told the man he had work for him to do, and showed him a large rock in front of his cabin.  The Lord explained that the man was to push against the rock with all his might.  This the man did, day after day.  For many years he toiled from sun up to sun down, his shoulders set squarely against the cold, massive surface of the unmoving rock, pushing with all his might.  Each night the man returned to his cabin sore, and worn out, feeling that his whole day had been spent in vain.

Seeing that the man was showing signs of discouragement, the devil decided to enter the picture by placing thoughts into the man's weary mind "You have been pushing against that rock for a long time, and it hasn't budged.  Why kill yourself over this?  You are never going to move it.   "This gave the man the impression that the task was impossible and that he was a failure.  These thoughts discouraged and disheartened the man.  "Why kill myself over this?" he thought.  "I'll just put in my time, giving just the minimum effort and that will be good enough."   And that is what he planned to do until one day he decided to make it a matter of prayer and take his troubled thoughts to the Lord.

"Lord" he said, "I have laboured long and hard in your service, putting all my strength to do that which you have asked.  Yet, after all this time, I have not even budged that rock by half a millimeter.  What is wrong?  Why am I failing?"

The Lord responded compassionately, "My friend, when I asked you to serve me and you accepted, I told you that your task was to push against the rock with all your strength, which you have done.  Never once did I mention to you that I expected you to move it. Your task was to push.  And now you come to me, with your strength spent, thinking that you have failed.  But, is that really so?
Look at yourself.  Your arms are strong and muscled, your back sinewy and brown, your hands are callused from constant pressure, and your legs have become massive and hard.  Through opposition you have grown much and your abilities now surpass that which you used to have.  Yet you haven't moved the rock.  But your calling was to be obedient and to push and to exercise your faith and trust in My wisdom.  This you have done.  I, my friend, will now move the rock
."

At times, when we hear a word from God, we tend to use our own intellect to decipher what He wants, when actually what God wants is just simple obedience and faith in Him,  By all means, exercise the faith that moves mountains, but know that it is still God who moves the mountains.  You just PUSH!

When everything seems to go wrong, PUSH!

When the job gets you down,  PUSH!

When people don't react the way you think they should, PUSH!

When your money is short and the bills are due, PUSH!

When you want to curse them out for whatever the reason, PUSH!

When people just don't understand you,  PUSH!

PUSH = Pray Until Something Happens!"

You have created us to live in community,
O God of love;
bless our friends who provide us
with the grace and love of an extended family.
Endow them with the riches of your blessings:
good health, sight, and mobility,
that they may enjoy the wonders of your creation
and share their delight with others.
Bless them with keen minds and compassionate hearts
that they may create a better life for all.
Guard them from injustice, oppression, and evil
that they may know freedom and hope lifelong.
In their waking and in their sleeping,
in their laughter and in their tears,
surround them with your love
until the end of their days;
and so bring them to eternal life in peace.
Through Jesus Christ, our Savior.
Amen.

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God…But I say to you that listen, Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who abuse you. If anyone strikes you on the cheek, offer the other also; and from anyone who takes away your coat do not withhold even your shirt. Give to everyone who begs from you; and if anyone takes away your goods, do not ask for them again. Do to others as you would have them do to you.

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love,
Where there is injury, pardon
Where there is doubt, faith,
Where there is despair, hope,
Where there is darkness, light,
Where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much
seek to be consoled as to console,
not so much to be understood as to understand,
not so much to be loved, as to love;
for it is in giving that we receive,
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
it is in dying that we awake to eternal life.
