In Jesus name. I know the day he'll give his life to Christ is very very near, nearer that you and I can imagine. Huxley will also be converted.  i'm sure the Jesus will arrest him very soon. If He did it for Saul, why can't He do it for Olabowale and Huxley?.

Pastor drowns during baptism
A police source told our correspondent that since the pastor was dead, it was difficult to ascertain what actually killed him.
Can't they carry out an autopsy on the dead body to ascertain the cause of death?  Huh

@topic,
Water baptism(total immersion) doesn't have to be done in the river.

At times l ask myself, if some of us do think the way it should be done, the case of this pastor should only be left for God to handle, whatever name you may call itinterms of water,  just understand that God alone and the other pastors could sincerely say what has happend, so this calls for no fight.

Now this is nice given that baptism is a very important part of christianity and the christians cannot not even agree on how it should be carried I mean  those of you who have been arrested in the spirit keep coming up with different scenarios with how we should do it, which again begs the question if all these practices are not just man's own interpretation of  the all so ambiguous bible. Why can it  not simply state YOU MUST BE TOTALLY IMMERSED IN WATER.  Or YOU ARE SAVED BY YOUR FAITH ALONE or THOU SHALL NOT USE CONDOMS or SINNERS REGARDLESS OF HOW TINY YOUR SIN IS WILL BURN IN HELL.

Abi oh, as if John would get all those people wet and cold in the river just to sprinkle water on their heads. . . .

Again, its not the river thats important, its immersion.

Perhaps it is not advisable to get baptised in Nigerian rivers because they are all traditional deities.  River niger is Oya the amazonian warrior.  Which river is not one orisha or the other.  River Oshun?  River Obba? River Yemoo?  River Yemoja Oogun?  Oluweri (for small rivers and brooks), Olokun for atlantic ocean, Olosa for Lagoon.

In short if you are wary of nigerian religious tradition then do the smart thing.  Stop washing!!

Thank you

BAPTISM SHOULD BE BY IMERSION

WHETHER IN THE RIVER, OCEAN, LAKE, SWIMMING POOL, LAGOON ETC, PROVIDED IT IS BY IMERSION.

I believe one has to be immersed in water, not sprinkled; whether it is a pool or a river or bar beach sef, e no matter.

I agree fully with AKO

Why don't you simply open the Bible and see what it says?

@Youg babe

Jesus is not interested in the name of the church.

Baptism is complete immersion in water. Simple arithmetic!
