What is a Boyfriend?

A man who is the lover of a girl or young woman.

~ wordnet.princeton.edu/perl/webwn

A boyfriend is a male partner in a non-marital romantic relationship. ~en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boyfriend

A boyfriend is a boyfriend, but a boyfriend means something different to a poor girl from a rich girl.

To most poor girls and poor single women, a Boyfriend is the man she has chosen to date and sleep with for material benefits in cash or kind.

It is not easy for poor girls and poor single women to have a relationship with a man if he cannot provide or supply their needs. And if he cannot supply on demand, they move on to other targets.

The comfortable or rich girls and rich single women are the most trust worthy, because they are not going out with a guy for his money or material gains. They are going out with a guy, because they need him in their lives as a friend or lover.

It is pathetic if the only thing a girlfriend can offer a boyfriend in a relationship is sex.

If sex is the only thing you can give your boyfriend in return, then he might as well be dating a call girl.

A poor girl or single woman can have what I call value-added relationship with a boyfriend by offering him more than sexual gratification. So, do not make him feel like he is paying you for dating you.

Once in a while, save and buy him gifts and do not do this like a trade by barter, because many girlfriends only give gifts to their boyfriends to bargain for something costlier than what they have given to them.

Boyfriends appreciate gifts from their girlfriends, regardless of the price-tag.

A nice shirt, underwear or hair shampoo would be well received.

If a girlfriend has the bad habit of always demanding gifts and money from a boyfriend, she is sending wrong signals and such a negative impression can put him off.

A boyfriend should be first; Your Friend for the love of sharing and caring for someone.

Sex should not used as your bargaining chip to get something from your boyfriend.

Do not try to be smart by seeing or using a boyfriend as your constant source of regular income.

If you are a poor girl or poor single woman and your boyfriend gives you money, do not spend all the cash on shopping!

You can save some of the sums for the rainy day.

Do not blow it all in a week and rush to demand more money.

You can spend half of the sum on investments.

In Nigeria, you can buy shares or start pay-phone call center with some cash.

If you are a student on or off campus, buy shares or start the pay-phone call centre serviced by Starcomms. This will give you regular income and save you from the harassment and embarrassment of sexual abuse.

According to Starcomms Marketing Director Manoj Vashisht:
"All an operator needs is to simply buy a Starcomms Smart Center specially designed for tele-centers and get rewarded with up to 7,000 naira [US$60] in bonus on 60,000 naira of monthly airtime spent in the Starcomms Bonuzee loyalty program."

"The aim of making this package very affordable is to empower more Nigerians, especially youths and entrepreneurs in general."

You can employ a young school leaver to operate it at a busy bus stop or street corner. This is a booming business in Nigeria.

It is not easy for poor girls and poor single women in Nigeria to ignore the temptations of using their sex for material benefits by dating and sleeping with boyfriends who can afford to give them money and gifts. But if they use their brains more than their loins, they will be healthier, safer and wealthier than those who abuse and misuse their sexual organs for material possessions.

I knew many poor girls and poor single women who could not buy sanitary pads and one of them told me that she tore one of her white Clothes and used a piece as sanitary pad. In Northern Nigeria, most of the poor girls and poor single women do not even bother to use sanitary pads. When thy sleep with boyfriends for cash, they spend the money on new clothes and continue with their careless way of life in ignorance of how a small sum of money can empower them to become self-reliant.

This post will help the poor girls and single women in Nigeria and make them earn the respect of their boyfriends who would appreciate them more if they do not use sex to bargain for material supplies.

Cheers and God bless.
