Hello Nairalanders, Please help! Once I input my username and Password my yahoo messenger disappears without connecting! I have my antivirus on, and it updates everyday, I have downloaded a new messenger and the same problem prevails. What do I do Please!!!

its probably a virus or some sort,even if u have an updated anti-virus,not all anti-virus might detect some virusses.
my suggestions.
Delete the current YM u have,
go to ur control panel under add/remove programs totally remove the YM or any file related to it there.
then re-install it again.
if it persists,back up ur files and re-format ur system or get ur IT person to look at it

try to view hidden files in any folder of your system if u don't see hiden files, know that your system have contacted a virus, It happened 2 me sometime ago, I Nodded it out With My Latest version of Nod32 Anti Virus,  |

definitely a virus.
happened to me too. I uninstalled and reinstalled yahoo mssgr 6 times! Yet d problem persisted. Finally got it out by using AVira Antivirus,
For d 1st time, Kaspersky failed me.
Just find Avira and install,
