I suggest we should launch our own Nigerian blogs traffic exchange.
Seun and Kazey should take up the challenge and bloggers should pay for registration to run the system.

If you want real traffic on any website you need natural links, quality content. That's all.

I Google-searched Dr. Daniel Olukoya this morning and was surprised that goggle listed him in their very 1st page and it was my 1st post on "stones of fire" on this forum. Was I happy? Seun, you remain a hero of websie forum in nigeria, Keep up the good work. This also bring me to my new spiritual blog http://davictorycode(dot)blogspot(dot)com, launched last week. It is a daily devotional for Christians. the purpose is to spiritually empower the saints to break satanic oppression through the instrumentality of fervent prayer, prophecy and revelational power.

An artist derive joy from the population that mules over his/her art be it singing, acting or blogging. it becomes imperative to drive traffic to your site in order to feel appreciated and google adsense makes it more easy for you to focus on generating traffic. My job is actually to generate international voice traffic for my company so i know what it involves. You will derive traffic with time when you have quality content and quality experience. People will generally speak of you and people will check you out. For those who don't understand this yet, you may check; www.dipotepede.comThis project is just 1 months 1 week and I have generated 10,700 hits. I believe we (the bloggers) must synergize in order to earn more money from Google. There is actually no competition here, if we all make it a sense of duty to check each others site and promote it, place links, etc. we will all be eventually happy making money from one source. I believe Seun can pivot this project of synergizing bloggers to profit,

"This project is just 1 months 1 week and I have generated 10,700 hits"
Slow down. How many of these 'hits' are quality hits? Do you realize many web hits are worthless search engines hits? Don't let all the webs stats fool you, focus on your contents and be consistent. Your google page rank is fair: 4/10 but I can't discern any theme to your site yet. What is the focus of your blog?
A lot of folks are fooled by all the noise about making quick money thro' blogging. My advice : own your niche, write well and be sure to enjoy what you do.

Just want to know how many of us here have got active blogs of their own. I'm a novice in the blogosphere and wish blogging Nairalanders could mutually link to each other's blogs, thus increasing the traffic to the individual blogs, if you know what I mean and are really interested. Well, the URL to my blogs are http://douzy.blogdrive.com and http://douzical.blogdrive.com . What are yours?

Douzy, I visit your blog.
Nigerianbloggers.com actually links all Nigerian blogs and helps us to keep track of fellow Nigerian bloggers.
I have linked to more Nigerian bloggers than they have linked to me.
I have difficult reading your red text on black background and green text on black. I can only enjoy the classic black on white or white on black letters.

Thanks a lot, Orikinla. I appreciate everything. About the text/background colour issue, I've taken note of that. I love playing with colours indiscriminately, though I'll try to be using lighter colours that would contrast with the background in my subsequent posts. Only I like making posts that directly have to do with Nigeria in green (and white). I'll visit nigerianbloggers.com soon. You've always got my respect.

Most non-Nigerians hardly visit Nigerian blogs, except for Sokari's blog and a couple of other blogs. I do not have a blog yet, but I do frequent Yomi Says. I am involved in the management of the blog and can say that the non-Nigerian traffic there is rather high. The company I work for also now offers free blogging service available at http://www.gistblog.com. Anyone can setup a free blog there.

Sucess in blogging does not depend only on getting people to know your blog, but rather on having a content which will make them want to come back. This meanns a regularly updated blog which focuses on a particular niche (like someone has said), which is going to meet the expectations of your returning visitors. And best of all, enjoy what you blog about. don't focus on money but focus on satisfying your visitors. All thesame, mine is http://.blogspot.com . i made it a duty to update it atleast three times a week so just pop in and see whats new for today. (put on your funny caps as you enter )

Ok- I am not a Nigerian-just a white American trying to figure out what is the deal with Internet Fraud and Nigeria. Frankly I am sick and tired of receiving emails every day (and I really mean every day) that 1)assume I am an idiot, 2)assume I will be happy to give away thousands of dollars and 3) make me worry about our youth and elderly that may actually fall for some of the smarter scams. So I came here to find out more about Nigeria and Nigerians, and this enterprise of fraud that seems to have become a recognized Nigerian industry. Is there a Blog out there that may shed some light, or at least allow me to vent?
