I'm a final year Engr student of LAUTECH, hoping to work on Renewable Energy Source (wind mill) I don't know if anyone has ideas to shear, i'd be very happy to hear from you.

The basic principle that windmill operates on is the fact that when a coil of wire is rotated in a magnetic field, electric current flows in the wire. The electricity generated is tapped from the coil of wire using split rings.
You will have to construct propellers, connect it to the structure having coil of wire on it to rotate the coil. You will also need very powerful cylindrical-shaped magnet that the coil of wire will turn inside of.
You may look for a bicycle dynamo to get a practical idea of how to go about constructing your project. Wish you success!

I watched a documentary about the japanesse modification of the wind mill. This modification ensures it stop faster with lower wind speed. The windmill are small and blades are fused together.
