Are Electioneering Campaign Promises Meant To Be Fulfilled Or For Fun?
« on: August 17, 2008, 10:47 PM »

During the Governorship electioneering campaign in Oyo state, Gov Akala promised at Monatan Market in Ibadan to tare Monatan - Adogba Road in Egbeda Local Government Area within one year in office if voted into power. He is now more than one year in office and the road is untared. No explanation from his government of his failure to keep to his promise to the people of Monatan - Adogba who voted for him and jubilated in the market for his being elected. The question is, are electioneering campaign promises meant to be fulfilled or for fun?
