so what does it take to develop a "real" software? i mean, software like winamp, google desktop, audacity, forexTrader, frooty loops, oracle, winzip, msn messenger, skype, etc. how can one learn to develop software like these?? what programming language is suffice to do all this???

well, i know a thing or two about software development. i even have one "software" that i call ProTx (www . htmlonline . tk / tools / protx.php - tell me what you think)
but i need to know how to make stand-alone software like those. take my ProTx for example, it's not a stand alone .exe application, but its a software nonetheless, how do i make the ProTx a stand-alone application like the ones i mentioned???
