I'm so much in love with that movie. little romeo was just sooo wonderful.
it also featured other artistes like Jadakiss, Ginuwine, Missy Elliot
that is one movie i wont stop watching

Ok, I have to ask. Did we see the same movie? The same utterly predictable dance movie about some chick who made it against all manufactured odds? Because the Honey I saw was tiring and certainly not worth a second watch.

And little romeo? The guy read his lines, showed very little range and could not even dance I mean that brush your shoulders' move does not qualify.

It's possible that I am being a little hard on the movie but there is no way it could have been great. Marginally engaging because the dance moves were barely passable maybe but certainly not great.

Jessica Alba was hot though and her friend too but that does not in anyway compensate for her unemotional naija movie style acting in some parts of the movie. I saw it to the end though so maybe there is something I am missing.

, are you sure you saw the hollywood version because methinks you saw those midgets in the nollywood version instead of nollywood. Grin

little' Romeo didn't really do moves there but you saw the last part, like the last part in the sister's act - that's the purpose of this thread! Cool

How can you compare the end of Honey to that of Sister's Act? Let me name the very obvious difference:

Sister's Act: The final scene was performed wholly by the cast who we knew and had come to love.
Honey: A bunch of older people we hadn't seen until that point did the real performance then the kids came on for what I can only classify as showing their faces (except for little Romeo's brother who did the tap dance if I remember correctly) and guess who gets the applause?

I get that the final scene was great for a stand alone performance but taken in context of the movie it was really just a sugar coated end to an unimaginative story. Compared to greats like Flashdance and Dirty Dancing (only the original with Patrick Swayze), Honey is just not it.

and I did see the Hollywood version. Did not even know there was a Nigerian alternative though I am not too surprised.

note: i have personal beef with little romeo, Jessical Alba and themed movies with little heart (i just can't get myself to respect them) so don't take my word for it,
