I have always known Nigeria and Ghana are fierce rivals when it comes to football. But I never knew it goes beyond Ghana-Nigeria matches. I stumbled on one Ghanaian soccer forum and I can't believe the level of enmity these people have for us. 419ija is one of the names they call Nigeria. Please you need to go to Ghanaweb.com and go to football threads and read the topics, whether or not primarily related to Nigeria, but especially Nigeria-related topics, and see the diatribes. This is not to incite anybody against these people, but I was just alarmed at the level of hatred these people have for Nigerian players. They downplayed Dream Team's success run, Martins' goal against Man-You, Mikel 4-star performance against P'Mouth etc. they don't want to hear anything good coming from Naija9they also know us as Naija, to my surprise) Na wa o!!! I don't think there is anything wrong in going to or even joining Discussion Forums of other coutries. It makes you know what is going on in other countries. Mukina2, a Sierra Leonean living in Gambia, is arguably the most active member of Nairaland, a Nigerian forum. Today, she is far more knowledgeable about goings-on in Nigeria than millions of Nigerians. That is the power of Discussion forum via internet. RSA is a Soutyh-African-Nairalander. There are other foreign-Nairalanders. They don't receive any bashing here. So exploring Ghanaweb is an avenue for me to know the nitty-gritty of what's going on in Ghana, especially as it relates to Football. |

Not knowing what 419 is, it's either you are not a Nigerian or a Nigerian that has not stepped into Nigeria. Well, 419 is a term used to describe FRAUDS OF ALL KINDS. I heard it's section 4 subsection 19 of the Nigerian constitution that talks about FRAUD,that's why they call it 419. You know many Nigerians are notorious fraudsters, that have wreaked havoc in many countries, including the US. So Ghanaians have nick-named Nigeria 419geria. |

I stand by my statement. For your information, Mukina2 is far more active in Sports section than Islamic section. She's also always present in many other boards like Romance,Entertainment etc. There is no disputing her knowing much about Nigerian football. But remember there are millions of Nigerians who can't name 5 Super eagles Players(in other words, who don't watch football). In that sense, she knows about Nigeria more than Nigerians. Kajiko!!! |
