I'm a regular user of Vmobile Vstep/sec & I've been enjoying some benefits which I feel every V-mobile prepaid user should know.
What is Vstep? It's a reducing tariff plan for prepaid subscribers that can reduce your tariff to as low as 48kobo/sec within a 30days cycle.
How it works Once you have successfully switched to Vstep, the confirmation date is the first day of your 1month cycle in which you have the opportunity to reduce your tariff to as low as 48kobo/sec within that month.
Your tariff starts at 70kobo/sec from confirmation and after making calls totalling 60mins or 3600sec, your tariff reduces to 55kobo/sec. Making additional calls for 60min or 3600 sec further reduces your tariff to 48kobo/sec within that particular month.
After a month, your tariff is automatically restarted at 70kobo/sec again.
Here's a table for explanation
Talk time within 30days Tariff/second (₦) Total recharge value (₦) 0-60mins 0.70 2,520
60-120mins 0.55 2,520- 4,500
120mins & above 0.48 4,500 & above
After every month, your tariff goes back to 70kobo/sec and you have the opportunity to reduce it as you make more calls.
Advantages of this package 1- If you are a user that makes calls worth of 60min/month, you save 10kobo/sec on every call making a total of ₦360
2- If you make calls worth 120min/month, You save 10k/sec for 1st 60min = ₦360 and 25k/sec for 2nd 60mins = ₦900 Total savings = ₦1260
3- If you make calls worth 180min/month, You save 10k/sec for 1st 60min= ₦360 25k/sec for 2nd 60mins= ₦900 32k/sec for 3rd 60mins= ₦1,152 Total savings= ₦2412
4- SMS on this tariff is ₦10 off-peak
5- The more calls you make, the greater your savings.
How do I switch to Vstep/sec? Compose a text message with the word STEP and send to 170. Of course you have to be in per second billing before you send this or else you'll be switched to Vstep/minute which is not quite as economical.
If you have further questions/comments please ask/continue with this thread.
Cheers!
