help can't access my group policy settings on my vista, as a result can't edit my system restore settings and a host of other settings,
it says:
MMC cannot open the file C:\windows\system 32\gpedit.msc.
please help i don't know what to do.

It depends on what version of Vista you've got. Group policy settings can only be administered across users in either Vista Business or Vista Ultimate.
Else, you switch back to XP Professional.

i'm currently using the home premium version, and thers no switch back option, it came with vista. besides i wuld not want to go back to xp. i only found out when i wanted to restore my system.
