thanks vieira. the problem is I'm under- utilizing this skill. there's hardly d market 4 it in Nigeria. so I'm wit an AD company doin illustrations & graphic design whereas I'd rather prefer full time cartooning/animation. I couldnt agree more with the collaboration idea. where y'all @ ?

Moondust, I am in London but let me tell you something. Nowadays you can work for the biggest companies in the world and still live in Naija. A lot of the artists for DC and Marvel live in 3rd world countrie and still produce art. With the internet, you can submit your work easily. email me at olasiyan@yahoo.co.uk and I will try and get links to places where you can do submissions. That sample I saw is well off the hook. Girl you are da bomb. your drawings are out of this world. I am already falling in love with you.
I stopped drawing since 1994 because my folks said it was a waste of time. I am currently working on picking up from where I left but it is not the same wit my work and everything. I'll definitely love to talk with you. You have got a lot of potential. Right now I do more of graphic arts and web design but in my heart I know that I love cartoons very much.

If you take away the 'lou' and make the Ken a more japanese name (like Kenshiro or Kenji) It'll be cool His name also sounds like Heishiro Mitsurugi from soul blade Peole who have watched kenshin also would remember hiten mitsurugi ryu and of course, kenshin is ken Kinda makes your guy seem a but unoriginal, ne? Also his outfit is more chinese than japanese. But he's wearing GETA's which doesnt make sense. His sword is also a shaolin sword. And why is he wearing lipstick? Makes him look like a faggot Your artwork is excellent but the character concept is a bit, meh. If he was a bad guy for your hero to KILL BY DECAPITATION he would work  |

You can't say exactly where he's from, what style of martial arts he's into, if he's a HERO or a VILLAIN, Gay or straight, in summary a mysterious character like that would really sell fast don't you think? Thanks man , but your comment is only one-in-a-billion! I still have to hear from 999,999,999 more people to believe that my character is made up of crap!  Manga's not actually our Nigerian way of life so I don't see why u should be so worked up about it while guys like us are just having fun. Take care man, and concentrate on designing your own character (if you don't die during research) |
